KSCST funded project “ Smart conveyance for physically challenged peo-

ple” under the guidance of Dr. B N Satyanarayana Reddy won best pro-

ject award in state level project exhibition held at B.L.D.E engineering col-

lege, Vijayapura.

Prof. Arulmani L. got awarded Ph.D. from NIT Trichi on July 22nd 2016 in

the area of Powder Metallurgy.

Prof. Amarnath G. got awarded Ph.D. from Bangalore University on June

7th 2016 in the area of Nano composite.

Faculty and Students of the department have presented more than 15 techni-

cal papers in National conference ASET May 6th and 7th 2016.

Prof. Vishwanath M M won Excellent paper award for the presented pa-

per “Experimental investigations for the thermal characteristics of fluid-

ized bed cooling tower at higher flow rates” in international conference in

Electrical, Eectronics, Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering held

at Chennai on April 2016

Third year students won second cash prize of Rupees one Lakh in National

level bike designing competition held at Acharya Institute of Technology

Bangalore on 28th-29th April 2016.

Final year students exhibited their project models at MERAKI 2016. Two

projects are nominated for the Best Project award.

Bagged the Rolling Trophy of RRIT for the year 2015-16.

Students participation in Summer Internship Programmes at HAL, Bangalore

and BHEL, Bangalore.

Project done by students titled “Waste Heat Recovery System For The Ex-

traction Of Energy From India’s Large Kitchens Using Thermo-electric

Generators On A Sustainable Basis” has got selected for the National

Level exhibition organized by KPIT Technologies.

Engine was redesigned from 160 cc to 200 cc with increased power from 12HP to 14 HP.

Increased front Axle length and angle, fitted with special sensors, unique head light, Indi-

cator and Danger light with wheels replaced form spoke to Mag and sophisticated seat.
