I - IV - V Chord Numbers

Roman numerals, a lower case implies a minor chordI = Major 1st, C Majorvi = minor 6th, A minor

Because I IV V’s are incredibly handy to know!

Guitar By The Glass is my group approach to learning the guitar. I created this book for my weekly session, but anyone is free to print it out and use it.

Make sure you have: 1. A nice clean secluded place to sit down 2. A tuned guitar 3. This resource book on a music stand in front of you 4. The youtube / podcast playing through a stereo so you can jam along 5. A glass of something to sip

Against The Wind by Bob Seger[G]It seems like yester[G]day, [Bm]but it was long ago[Bm][C]Jenny was lovely; she was the [G]queen of my nights[D]There in the darkness with the radi[C]o, playing low now

[G]And the secrets that we shared [G][Bm]The mountains that we moved [Bm][C]Caught like wildfire out [G]of control‘til there was [C]nothing left to burn And nothing left to [D /]prove

And I rem[Em-]ember [D-]what she said to [G]me *PRECHORUSHow she [Em-]swore that it ne[C-]ver would end [G] STRUMMINGI rem[Em-]ember how she [D-]held me, [C]oh so tight PATTERN[C]Wish I didn't know now what I [D]didn't know then

[G]Against the [Bm]wind [C]we were running against the [G]windWe were [C-]young and [Bm-]strongwe were [Am-]running a[C-]gainst the [G /]wind [G /]

[G]And the years rolled slowly [G]past[Bm]And I found myself al[Bm]one[C]Surrounded by strangers I [G]thought were my friends[D]I found myself further and [C]further from my home

And I[G] guess I lost my [G]way[Bm]There were oh, so many [Bm]roadsI was [C]living to run, and runn[G]ing to liveNever [C]worrying about paying, or even how [D /]much I owed

Movin’ [Em-]8 miles a [D-]minute for months at a [G]timeBreaking [Em-]all of the [C-]rules that would bend[G][Em-]I begin to [D-]find myself [C]searching[C]Searching for shelter a[D]gain and again
