They keep on coming! Strong feeders, ideal grass calves, pairs, butcher stock, we had lots of volume and lots of power in the market. Let's look at the high calibre Red strs from Walter and Susan Steidl (Punchaw), at 755 lb they marched to 187.75, 594 lb grass strs fetched 225.00 and 653 lb hfrs marked 186.50. Ian and Annie Van Metre (Burns Lk) had 766 lb Blk strs bring 190.25, 672 lb strs at 210.00. Martin and Linda Dykens (Houston) brought some massive 919 lb strs worth 167.00, 762 lb hfrs reached 180.00. Big Eddy Ranch (PG) in with 756 lb Red x strs at 186.50, 623 lb strs cracked 216.50, 531 lb strs climbed to 236.00. Olaf Halverson (Houston) saw his 868 lb strs force 166.00, 726 lb strs up to 180.50. HRH Ranch Ventures (Burns Lk) showcased 617 lb hfrs at 190.50, 548 lb hfrs reached 194.50. Pelican Lk Ranch (Batnuni Lk) had 579 lb hfrs bring 190.00. Gaylon McKee (Van) showed 570 lb strs that traded at 219.00 and 554 lb hfrs that raced to 191.50. Andy Meints (Houston) had 707 lb Red strs max out at 209.50, 724 lb hfrs strike 178.00, and 1626 lb cows hit 93.50! A.J. Forsyth (New Hazelton) had a pen of 732 lb hfrs bring 175.00, he also had top quality Angus X pairs sell up to $1900. A herd dispersal for Sharndons Farm (Fort St James) showed 23 cow/calf pairs as high as $1875. A couple hundred butcher stock rolled through and the buyers were ready. Carmella Farms (Van) with 1478 lb Blk cows at 92.50. CTN Ranch (Fort Fraser) had 1353 lb cows notch 90.00. David Dyck (Burns Lk) in with a 2060 lb Red bull worth 109.00. Tatalrose Ranch (Burns Lk) saw their 2035 lb Blk bull score 111.50. Hatch Creek Ranch (Topley) had a 2245 lb Blk bull top 112.00! Altogether we sold close to 1200hd and it made a great day of sale yard fun and cattle business. The crew did a great job despite the heat, the quality of the stock was outstanding, and we appreciate the efforts made to bring them in a timely fashion so we can do our part in preparing them for sale. Thank you to the buyers for keeping BC cattle at the top of the market. Our last regular sale for the spring is May 31st. June 8th is our Saddle Horse Sale at the fairgrounds. There will be a full weekend of events to go along with this horse sale, you won't want to miss it!

OK FALLS REGULAR SALE, MONDAY, MAY 13th

We had another excellent sale here in OK Falls with a good volume of all classes of cattle.

We also had some great cow / calf pairs. Wade Clifton set the butcher bull trend with

2350 lb bulls marking 110.00. Ian & Bev Smith saw their 1975 lb butcher bulls top 119.00

and their 2265 lb bulls hit 121.00. Thomas Ranches saw their 1445 lb butcher cows top

92.00. Bruce Stewart had excellent Blk Angus cow / calf pairs trade to 1950.00 per pair.

The Barrington Ranch had 1695 lb butcher cows top 92.00. Brandon Blaine had Red

Angus cow / calf pairs that topped 2375.00 and another pen of their fancy 2 yr old Red

Angus pairs hit 2575.00. Len & Marvin Tonn in with 560 lb Hereford s/c that topped

280.00 and their bigger strs, 590 lb, hit 265.00. A fancy pair of their 525 lb Char h/c hit

230.00. The DuMont Ranch brought 680 lb strs that topped our sale at 259.00. Stirling

Creek Ranch’s 1335 lb butcher cows raced to 90.00. What a great sale today to end the

spring with! OK Falls next sale will be on Monday, August 26th, 2019. Have a wonderful

summer and we will see you all in the fall!

KAMLOOPS REGULAR SALE, TUESDAY, MAY 14th

Kamloops had over 100 cow/calf pairs today and an exciting In-House video sale for the

Buff Ranch. We also had 200 feeder cattle and a steady flow of butcher cows and bulls

that rounded our number off to 700 hd! Len & Marvin Tonn set a pace with their pen of

500 lb h/c that raced to 205.00. They also filled the ring with 684 lb Char strs that hit

216.00. Their next pen of 582 lb s/c made 228.00. The Philip Ranch had 8 fancy, RBF

hfrs, 701 lb, that traded to 178.25 and their big hfrs, at 767 lb, raced to 174.50. The Neale

Ranch set the bar high with 11 hd of 503 lb Blk Angus h/c that marked 204.00. Charles

Walken had 628 lb Blk Baldie strs top out at 224.75. Jennifer Black saw her 768 lb Red x

hfrs sell to 175.50. Paul Hooysma’s 502 lb s/c raced up to 229.50 and his 553 lb hfrs

notched 190.00. The Chutter Ranch’s 750 lb Red strs hit 210.00 and their 545 lb hfrs

traded to 194.00. On the In-House video, the Buff Ranch showcased their fancy 765 lb

Red Baldie hfrs that powered up to 175.50. Next, Reputation cow/calf pairs were featured.

Wayne & Jill Hughes had Blk Angus pairs that hit 2000.00. Steve Langenegger had

Red Angus cows with calves at foot sell to 1900.00. The Ingram Creek Ranch brought

their young cow/calf pairs and saw them roll up to 1975.00. Marvin & Len Tonn, saw their

young Angus x Cows with huge calves at foot race to 2200.00. Karl Bischoff brought us

2015 lb butcher bulls that notched 117.50. Seven O Ranch’s 1330 lb butcher cows sold

to 95.25. The top selling butcher cow today was from Tom Veldhuisen, at 1690 lbs, she

sold for 97.00. It was one impressive day full of quality cattle, huge thanks to all our pro-

ducers, buyers and staff! The next Kamloops Regular Sale is 2 weeks away on May 28th.
