Richard wants to build a real life replica of one of the buildings as a tourist attraction on his tropical island. His builder has given him quotes below for how long it will take to build and how much it will cost to furnish. Can you work out the total cost for him
1) The cost for building the replica depends on the total surface area of the design. It will cost £35 for each square meter. Decorating the interior with the appropriate luxury furniture will cost £50 per cubic meter.
2) Richard has decided that he wants to turn the inside of the buildings into apartments. Each apartment will be a simple cube design and dimensions will be 5m in each direction. How many apartments will Richard be able to get into your design?
