IMPHAL: The Framework Agreement signed with the NSCN-IM was the only thing that Prime Minister Na-rendra Modi did for Manipur but its contents remain concealed even to chief minister of the state.

Stating this Congress vice-pres-ident Rahul Gandhi demanded that the contents of the agreement should be made public along with accusing Narendra Modi of "spread-ing hate and lies" wherever he went.

Addressing an election rally at Hapta Kangjeibung, Palace Com-pound on Tuesday Rahul Gandhi said the Centre signed the Frame-work Agreement, but nobody knows about its contents. “Even chief min-ister O Ibobi Singh and the state government are not aware of it,” he

said and asked as to why people of Manipur are being kept in the dark about the contents of the agreement.

“Soon after signing the agreement with NSCN-IM leaders, Prime Min-ister Narendra Modi informed my mother (Sonia Gandhi) but refused to give details of the agreement de-spite claiming it as a historic one, Rahul said adding that contents of the agreement are known none

made several promises to the people of Manipur but none of the projects he announced for the state have been implemented. “Wherever Narendra Modi goes, he spreads lies, hatred and enmity among brothers apart from making false promises,” Ra-hul said.

Speaking at the Singja-mei event, CCSK secretary Jitendra Ningomba asserted that the people of Manipur should not be kept in the dark on the Centre-NSCN(IM) pact as there is strong suspicion of the agreement posing serious threat to the territorial integ-rity of Manipur.

Amit Shah pledges to jail ‘corrupt’ Cong leaders

IMPHAL: Alleging that the Congress party has been looting the people of Manipur for the past 15 years by indulging in cor-ruption under the pretext of job recruitment or taking up development projects, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Amit Shah has sworn to put behind bars all those involved in corruption, including the Chief minister O Ibobi, when BJP comes to power.

The BJP chief was speaking in an election campaign held in connection with the up-coming assembly polls at Kangpokpi Thomas ground, Tuesday.

Charging the Congress party of exploiting and ruining Manipur, which he described as one of the most beautiful places on earth, Amit Shah contended that the Congress party has intentionally destroyed the rich cultural heritage, resources and the resourceful people who are brilliant in every aspect, by institutionalising corruption.
