Tekniskspecifikation_RAUK 2015-01 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION Unit RailVac RAUK Air/Vacuum Excavator (BVES) Model RailVac 18000/500-UK The RailVac RAUK units are Railcare’s bespoke UK air/vacuum excavator (Ballast Vacuum Extraction System - BVES) and it has been designed and built to conform with W6A loading gauge and applicable standards. In transport mode it is approved to be dead hauled. When inside a possession and working self-propelled, it is classed as on track machine (OTM). The RailVac RAUK’s are equipped with two diesel engines, vacuum pumps, air compressors, a manipulator arm for excavation and a unique hydrostatic transmission system that is powerful, reliable and precise in its operation. The RailVac RAUK’s utilises the carrier braking system which are controlled from all driving/operating positions. To reduce the risks of injury to personnel and damage to the infrastructure a number of emergency safety systems have also been built into the machine The RailVac RAUK has Engineering Acceptance Certificate (EAC), Gauging Certificate and Network Rail Product Acceptance. They provide a wide range of different excavation services to Network Rail and other infrastructure owners and maintainers all over the UK. The RailVac RAUK units are Railcare’s bespoke UK air/vacuum excavator (Ballast Vacuum Extraction System - BVES) and it has been designed and built to conform with W6A loading gauge and applicable standards.
