Trafford Conservatives are lookingafter your interests says Brian Rigby

There has been a fantastic response by the public to Traffords biggest ever consultation which wascarried out to seek local peoples views on the changes that needed to be made in order to meet thenecessary budget savings caused by the current financial situation that the country is facing.

The Council was able to identify savings of 13million by reviewing back office processes, getting themost out of contracts and reducing bureaucracy and management costs.

At the same time they responded to residents views and invested more inAdult Social Care and Childrens Social Care and maintained CommunitySafety and Community Action Teams.

By 2015, a further 42million of savings must be found, but bycontinuing to transform how services are delivered to the people ofTrafford, Conservative councillors believe that the quality of services canbe maintained.

However, the Council wants to listen to local people before makingdecisions on the delivery of services. In order to do this people can goon line on the Councils web sites or attend one of the many meetings that are being held in areasthroughout the Borough or contact their local Councillors directly.

Council TaxConservative councillors are determined to assist Trafford residents, especially Trafford families, facethe current financial challenges. It is therefore our intention to recommend that for the second year

in succession, there will be NOINCREASE IN THE LEVEL OFCOUNCIL TAX for 2012/13.

Trafford Conservative councillorshave always been committed toworking towards providing thehighest quality services for thepeople of Trafford at the lowestpossible cost. With this

commitment Trafford residents willcontinue to pay the lowest counciltax in Greater Manchester.
