Raja Ampat’s marine environments are out of this world. The reefs are a painter’s pallet of color and variety, home to over 1200 species of fish and more marine life than anywhere else on the planet. Big animals are common here, with Manta Ray cleaning stations, schools of Mobala rays and plenty of Shark sightings. One of the rarest sharks seen in these waters is the Woebegong Shark and the walking Shark.

The diversity of dive sites is remarkable; there are some areas where soft corals and sea fans dominate, others with spectacular hard coral seascapes, mangroves, shallow reefs, drop offs, caves, black sand, white sand and seagrass beds. All of these environments combine to house a huge amount of marine life, in more shapes and sizes than anywhere else in the world. All levels of the food chain are well represented, from Pygmy Seahorses to top predators and everything in between. The reefs of Raja Ampat literally buzz with life - beware, sensory overload here is a common problem.

Our accommodations have been meticulously designed for comfort, privacy, and sustainability. All of our rooms feature Balinese-style open air bathrooms, air-conditioning, fresh hot and cold showers, mini-bars stocked with treats from around the archipelago, and handcrafted furniture and fittings. Our eight rustically luxurious Water Cottages are built on stilts over the North Lagoon, just steps from the Dive Center and restaurant. For lazy afternoons with a good book, there is a hammock built right into the veranda. The view from your veranda is framed by a traditional grass roof, offering a high degree of privacy as well as shade. Stairs lead down from your veranda to the North Lagoon, and the House Reef is just a few fin kicks away.

FLIGHTS: We recommend you arrive in Sorong (SOQ) with Garuda Indonesia GA682 from Jakarta, arriving at about 06:35 AM on Feb 21. Departure from the dock to the resort is 9:00 AM. Return flight home from Sorong

(SOQ) anytime on March 6.

Raja Ampat Dive Lodge provides a relaxing get away. Just a 2-hour speedboat ride away from the Port, it is strategically located in Dampier Strait of Raja Ampat, This intimate resort is a perfect place to experience the most bio – diverse reefs in the world. The beachfront property offers fan and Air-Conditioned rooms with seating area, wardrobe and desk. En suite bathroom comes with hot/cold shower facility, hairdryer and free toiletries. Fronted by a shallow white sand beach and backed by the Papuan rainforest, the bungalows are surrounded by natural beauty. The on-site restaurant serves Western and Indonesian food. Guests may relax by the garden or terrace and complimentary Wi-Fi is available around the restaurant area.

FLIGHTS: You will need to arrive in Sorong (SOQ) anytime on Feb 11. We will overnight in Sorong before departing for the resort. We will return to Sorong on Feb 20 and overnight again before continuing on to Misool. Or you can schedule your flight home on Feb 21.
