NERVOUSDAY 1

moral

When Allah spoke to Nabi Musa in the Valley of Tuwa, he

commanded Nabi Musa to go Firaun and his people to preach.

Nabi Musa was very nervous because the disbelievers were

very mean. Nabi Musa prayed to Allah with the following verse

Qaala Rabbish rah lee sadree Wa yassir leee amree Wahlul 'uqdatam

milli saanee Yafqahoo qawlee

(Moses) said: "O my Lord! expand me my breast; "Ease my task for me; "And remove the impediment

from my speech, "So they mayunderstand what I say" (20:25-28)

Allah granted Nabi Musa's prayer and told him that He will always be there.

We should recite this Dua when we are nervous and we will be reassured that Allah will always be there for us.

SCAREDDAY 2

When Nabi Yunus was swallowed by the whale, he was scared and prayed to Allah with the following

verse

laaa ilaaha illaaa Anta Subhaanaka innee kuntu minaz zaalimeen.

Fastajabnaa lahoo wa najjainaahu minal ghamm; wa kazaalika nunjil

mu'mineen (21:87-88)

"There is no god but thou: glory to thee: I was indeed wrong!" So We listened to him: and delivered him

from distress: and thus do We deliver those who have faith.

Allah accepted Nabi Yunus's Dua and the whale spit him

out.

When we recite this Dua, Allah will give us the strength to no

longer be scared.

FORGIVENESSDAY 3

When Nabi Adam listened to Shaytaan and ate from the fruit tree that Allah had told him to

stay away from, Nabi Adam became very remorseful and

prayed to Allah for forgiveness with the following verse:

Qaalaa Rabbanaa zalamnaaa anfusanaa wa illam taghfir lanaa

wa tarhamnaa lanakoonanna minal khaasireen

They said: "Our Lord! We have wronged our own souls: If thou

forgive us not and bestow not upon us Thy Mercy, we shall certainly be

lost." (7:23)

Even the angels prayed for Nabi Adam. Allah forgave Nabi Adam and sent him along with his wife, Hawa to the

Earth. When we do something that makes Allah unhappy, we should recite this Dua so that the angels can take our Dua to

Allah so that we may be forgiven.

Take a few popcorn kernels and with the help of an adult pop the in a pot over the stove. Notice how the small amount of kernels turns into a big yummy bowl of

popcorn  similar to how Allah takes our good deeds and turns them into beautiful rewards we will get in Jannah

inshallah.

SICKNESSDAY 4

When Nabi Ayyub became very sick, he could not even leave his house. He began to pray to Allah

with the following verse

And (remember) Job, when He cried to his Lord, "Truly distress has seized me, but Thou art the Most Merciful of those that are

merciful." So We listened to him:

We removed the distress that was on him, and We restored his people to him, and doubled their number,-as a Grace from Ourselves, and a thing for commemoration, for all

who serve Us. (21:83-84)

Allah heard Nabi Ayyub’s Dua and told him to use his leg to hit the ground and a small fountain of water would come out.

Nabi Ayyub drank the water and washed himself with it and he was cured!   When we don't feel very well, we should recite this

verse so that Allah can hear our call and make us feel better!

Cut out and string together the Ramadhan BannerACTIVITY:

WISDOMDAY 5

Nabi Ibrahim was addressing the disbelievers (which included his

uncle Azhar). While explaining the truth and teaching about Islam,

Nabi Ibrahim made this Dua:

Rabbi hab lee hukmanw wa alhiqnee

bis saaliheen Waj'al lee lisaana sidqin fil aakhireen Waj'alnee minw

warasati Jannnatin Na'eem

"O my Lord! bestow wisdom on me, and join me with the righteous;

"Grant me honourable mention on the tongue of truth among the latest (generations);"Make me one of the

inheritors of the Garden of Bliss. (26:83-85)

When we recite this Dua, Allah guides our knowledge to the right path so that we are able to think with a clear mind.

Using a fizzy vitamin, show them the hard vitamin as an example of bad deed on our record, pop into water and start saying "Astaghfirullah" as you see

the vitamin start to bubble up and fizz. Keep saying the magic words and the bad deed record melts and

dissolves away.

When Nabi Lut questioned the indecent practices of the people of his time, they

refused to listen and threatened to banish him.

Nabi Lut made the following Dua to Allah

Qaala Rabbin surnee 'alal qawmil mufsideen

He said: "O my Lord! help Thou me against people who do mischief!"

(29:30)

PRAYING FOR PARENTSDAY 7

Nabi Ibrahim wanted to pray for his parents and for all the believers for protection from

the Hell Fire, so he recited this Dua

Rabbanagh fir lee wa liwaalidaiya wa lilmu'mineena Yawma

yaqoomul hisaab

"O our Lord! cover (us) with Thy Forgiveness - me, my parents, and

(all) Believers, on the Day that the Reckoning will be established!

(14:41)

We should always remember to pray for our parents because they have done so much for us! This way, Allah (SWT) can grant his mercy

on them.

JEALOUSYDAY 8

Nabi Yusuf’s  father (Nabi Yaqub) loved him very much which made his brothers very

jealous of him and they plotted to throw him in the

well. Nabi Yusuf was all alone in the dark well until he was  rescued. He later became the King’s advisor and invited his

brothers for dinner and treated them well.

Oh Allah, clean away all forms of evil from my heart. Oh Allah, clean my heart and remove everything

that displeases you. Oh Allah, clean my heart of all every form of bitterness, hard feelings, and

jealousy.

We should recite this dua if we envy someone or feel others are envious on us.

Prophet Yusuf was hospitable to his brothers

even though they were jealous of him.

BEING BULLIEDDAY 9

Bilal was an Abyssinian slave who is known for his bravery

as he never gave up on his belief despite being tortured

and abused. The Prophet(SAWW) admired his courage

so much that Bilal became Rasulullah’s Mu’adhdhin.

Laa Ilaaha illal lahoo Mohammed ur Rasool Ullah

There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is his Messenger

We should pray this Dua whenever we feel our belief is being questioned and remember  Bilal’s perseverance and Boldness.

TRUSTING ALLAH(SWT) DAY 10

The people during Nabi Ibrahim (AS) were furious when they

found all the idols destroyed by the prophet. They decided to

throw Nabi Ibrahim (AS) in the fire. The prophet prayed and

trusted Allah (SWT) to keep him safe. Allah (SWT) turned the fire from hot to cold and made it safe

for the Prophet.

"Indeed, the people have gathered against you, so fear

them." But it [merely] increased them in faith, and they said,

"Sufficient for us is Allah , and [He is] the best Disposer of

affairs."" (3:173)

Whenever you are in a difficult situation pray this Dua and trust Allah (SWT) to  take care of your matters.

Al-Khaliq means "The Creator".  Let us witness His creation. Go outdoors and spend some time talking about what Allah had created.

Talk about how He created everything from nothing, with no help.  Allah made the clouds, Allah made the sun, Allah made the turtles etc.  Collect things from your time outside (e.g. twigs, leaves and

flowers!)

Make a poster using the name Al-Khaliq! :)

OBEYING YOUR PARENTS

DAY 11

Owais Qarni loved the prophet immensely but never got the chance

to meet him because he was attending to his sick mother. Owais was once given the permission to go visit theHoly Prophet (PBUH) by his mother with the condition of meeting him

only at his home. Owais travelled 3 months by foot and when he arrived

Madina, he discovered that the Prophet was away.

When we feel like we want to do something that our parents do not think is good for us, we should respect their decisions. Our reward from

Allah (SWT) for obeying our parents will be much greater.

Al-Wadood can be translated as "The Most Loving."  The idea that Allah loves us, even more than mummy and daddy. Bake some heart shaped rice crispy TREATS as a wonderful visual reminder that Allah loves you!

ACTIVITY

MORAL

Despite longing to meet the Prophet (PBUH), Owais returned home and

obeyed his mother’s condition.  When the Prophet returned back to Madina,

he used to turn to the direction of Yemen and say he could smell the

sweet breeze of Owais Qarni.

HUMBLE

DAY 12

A traveller once requested Imam Ali Ridha (AS) for help after losing all his

belongings on his way to Ziyarat.  He promised in return to give the same amount to a poor man once he arrived his city. The Imam took the man in a

room after all the companions left and gave him the money in a very discrete

manner.  When asked by his companions why he

helped the traveller in that way,

We should remember to always be humble and think of others

before ourselves because it makes Allah (SWT) happy with us. This Dua allows us to keep

humility in the back of our minds and seek guidance from

Allah (SWT).

the Imam explained that he did not want

to see the man humiliated.

Wa 'ibaadur Rahmaanil lazeena yamshoona 'alal ardi hawnanw wa izaa

ANGER

DAY 13

One day Imam Hassan (A.S.)’s maid dropped a hot bowl of soup on him.

She thought he would get angry at her and so she started reciting the ayah

from the Quran:  “Those who control their anger… (3:134)”.  Imam Hassan smiled and

told her that he was not angry and she continued by reciting another ayah “...

Allah loves those who do good…”(3:134).  After hearing that

Imam freed her.

When faced with a situation or a person that makes you angry,

recite the Dua and remember that a believer is one who can control his/her anger and tolerates people's mistakes.

FEAR

DAY 14

One day Imam Taqi (as) was playing on the streets of Baghdad when Mamum Al-

Rashid, the tyrant of the time, passed with his soldiers. He was on his way to a hunting trip and as the children heard them walking towards them, they all scattered except for Imam. Mamun asked the Imam why he did not run away like the other children. Imam replied him with confidence that he was not blocking his way and so he had no reason to fear the king. Mamun asked him who he wasand Imam explained he was son of Imam Al-

Ridha (as).

When we feel scared of something or someone, we should recite this Dua (Ayatul Kursi) for protection

KINDNESS

DAY 15

Imam Musa Al Kadhim (as) was once abused by a poor, uneducated farmer.

His companions wanted to punish the farmer but the Imam stopped them and instead rode to

the man’s farm. When the farmer saw the Imam he he started abusing him.

The Imam greeted him with a smile and told him not to overwork himself.

The Imam then went on to provide him more than the value of his crops. The farmer was so

WANTING A FRIEND

DAY 17

Nabi Ibrahim submitted to Allah, always. He fed the poor and hungry with whatever Allah had provided for

him; he would spend long hours worshipping Allah; he would always
