Just a stone’s throw from the picturesque village of Stoke Gabriel, fabulous for crabbing!

Take a river trips to Dartmouth or Brixham and enjoy the seawater-filled (and free!) Lido.

Visit Yarde Cider Farm in Stoke Gabriel, for excellent home-made cider.

If you have dogs visit Cockington Country Park or Meadfoot Beach, or Goodrington has a dog friendly part of the beach too.

There are three National Trust properties within 7 miles of site.

Visitor’s top tips

Very pleasant walk into Stoke Gabriel which is a very pretty village is the side of the estuary. A longer walk will take you into quirky totnes.

Go crabbing by the Rivershack Cafe which is only a short walk from site. Don’t forget your crab line! The Rivershack cafe is lovely for a drink.

The Church House Inn is very characterful with tasty home-made food and a good selection of local ales and ciders.

Try the mobile food vans that visit site, the fish and chip van in particular!
