Physics Research center as well as the manufacturing research

center. The following 4 year period was spent with Galil Motion

Control.

In July 1991, Mr. Andrews founded douloi Automation, Inc. to provide

motion control hardware and software solutions for use with

Microsoft Windows and Windows NT. Professional interests include

Jennifer Apy

Jennifer Apy has a computer science and cognitive science

undergraduate degree, and Stanford MBA. Upon graduation, she

joined Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) in their IT consulting

division. Ms. Apy then moved into marketing, but now, 20 years into

her career, she finds that the social media era has required her

understanding of computer programming and relational database

concepts more than she would have imagined. “The message I

would like to deliver to students, is that a STEM major can lead to

MANY careers, and can be a real differentiator in careers such as

marketing and business management.”

says that she “decided she needed more sun and moved out to the

Bay Area!” She has been practicing as a small animal veterinarian

since, seeing mostly dogs and cats in a private animal hospital. She

works part time, which gives her the “flexibility to do volunteer work

and take care of my family (husband, three children, and a cat!).”
