Diesel Generator Sets from SDMO
SDMO is recognised as one of the top manufacturers of
generating sets in the world. Therefore, Advanced Diesel
Engineering Limited (ADE Ltd.) has channelled all it’s
energy into stocking a range of open and silenced SDMO
generator sets which are both highly competitive and high

Whether you require emergency power to be able to cope

NEXYS ECU KERYS ECU
SDMO offers a solution to make standard generating
sets available more quickly.
At any given time, thirty 50Hz models from 12 to
1100kVA and twenty-six 60Hz models from 11 to 550kW
in the Power Products range are in stock world-wide and
if Advanced Diesel Engineering don’t currently hold stock
of that item, it can often be sourced and delivered to you
within a short time frame. These generating sets are
available in open or silenced versions.

Alongside standard generators electrically configured for
immediate use in the UK and EU, ADE Ltd also have the
provisions to supply generators with other voltage
configurations, including but not limited to: 415/240V,
380/220V, 220/127V, 200/115V, 440/254 V, 220/127V and
208/120V.
All generator sets listed on page 6 are available as
standard items or as part of a bespoke installation.
ADE Ltd. are specialists in the design and manufacture of
bespoke acoustic packaging and the undertaking of large
installations and project work.
Super silenced canopies and container systems can be
manufactured for almost any model of generator, diesel
or gas, including all the generators listed on page 6.

All our SDMO generators are tested prior to despatch.
We have a purpose built test facility at our factory in
West Yorkshire. This test facility has an online viewing
capability so clients can log in and see their product
as it is load tested and inspected.
All load test data can be monitored in real-time and the
proceedings can be viewed via a live video link by logging
in to our system using a standard internet connection.
Testing & Commissioning
For remotely located generators, such as those providing
power for telecom's towers, off-shore facilities and in hostile
environments, ADE supply and install complete control and
monitoring solutions. Incorporating cell phone technology,
it is possible to receive regular and accurate generator
system status and warning messages. Also, integrated into
an existing building management system, it is possible to
remotely start and stop your generator at the push of a
button. Taking this a step further, we can install systems to
enable all generator settings to be monitored and even
controlled via a standard PC with an internet connection.

Assessing and comparing noise levels
Better sound insulation
When selecting a generator set, calculate your power
requirement by adding together the rating of all equipment
that will be operating at the same time. You should also
estimate the surge rating for each appliance.
Some equipment has a higher startup rating than the normal
operating rating. This must be taken into account when
selecting the generator set. The surge rating is calculated by
multiplying the equipment rating by a factor specific to the
type of equipment supplied.
There are several types of electrical equipment: resistive
equipment (lamps, etc.), equipment with small motors
(low start-up current such as sanders, drills, etc) and
equipment with large motors (high start-up current such as
refrigerators, washing machines, etc.) The type of equipment
for an electrical appliance may be specified in the user
manual or you can find out from your reseller. Once the type
of equipment is known, the table opposite gives the factor for
calculating the surge rating.
The noise levels are expressed as the sound
power level Lwa. The measurement
methods are defined by strict standards
and the values give an accurate guide
for comparison of the noise level from
equipment. Any other noise level specified
in dB refers to the noise measured at a
given distance which is not fixed.
SDMO® gen-sets run quietly to comply with noise regulations.
The quietest gensets operate below 65 dB(A) @ 7 m, the
same noise level as a centralised air-conditioning system.
More reliable power supplyFluctuations in the electrical supply can damage electrical
equipment connected to the mains (plasma displays,
refrigerators with electronic temperature control and
computers.) SDMO® gen-sets supply backup power that meets
normal residential electrical distribution standards.
An SDMO® gen-set will not damage expensive electronic
equipment!
This table will help enable you to assess the power supply
required to operate several appliances at the same time.
As the electrical equipment in the home is never all operating at the same time, SDMO® gensets do not need to be rated to supply all the electrical appliances at the same time. Contact an SDMO® adviser to determine the exact consumption in your home. The generator set must be installed by a qualified installer.

generator is running at a constant 75% of the specified
PRP.

Thanks to their standard dimensions, ISO containers are
easy to transport and once on site, very simple to install.
ADE Ltd. container systems are completely autonomous,
with a fuel capacity which enables immediate operation,
without connection to an additional tank.
Our containers can be designed to withstand harsh climate
conditions including cold, marine and desert environments.

KERYS
The NEXYS, SDMO's new entry-level control unit, enables operation in both
manual and automatic mode. Modular in design, it offers high-quality basic
functions, allowing easy and reliable operation of your generating set.

Telys, SDMO's flagship product, integrates new options and offers improved
ergonomics and a more user-friendly design. It is even more straight
forward, with the emphasis on communication (USB connections, PC
connections, control software and remote operation).
The KERYS is a user-friendly, easy to grasp tool, offering a wide range of
functions. It is fitted as standard to all generating sets designed for coupling
applications, and can be fitted as an option, from 200 kVA, to the rest of our
applications. So that all the requirements of high and low voltage power
plants can be met, the KERYS can be built into the console, fitted directly
onto the generating set or on a separate cabinet.
The KERYS is available in two versions. The basic MMI (Man/Machine Interface) includes a monochrome LCD screen with
a functions keypad. The top of the range version of the KERYS Tactil has a TFT colour touch screen. Both of these two
versions has an ergonomic interface for configuration, operation or fault finding.
