2.EarlyLiteracyandEducationProgram
community-basedprogram,reduceslanguagedelays,developswritingandreading
skills,enhanceschild-caregiverattachmentandchildself-expressionandpromotes
literaturefromanearlyage.

4.MeandMyFamilyProgram
increasesthequalityoflifeforchildrenandyoungadultswithdisabilitiesandfacilitates
theirsocialintegration.
This program was initiated in 2000 with the purpose of supporting institutionalized
children to help themmake the transition towards foster care or independent living. Starting
November2004,the“MeandMyFamily”programbeganbysupportingchildrenwithseverespecial
needswhoweremovedfromBecleanOrphanageintofostercareorintotheBistritaplacement
center. This program is in collaborationwith the General Direction for SocialWork and Child
ProtectionBistrita-Nasaud(DGASPC).

KeyConcepts:psychologicalandmotorevaluationofchildrenwithsevereneeds,individualized
interventionplan,physicaltherapy,playtherapy,sensorystimulation,music-therapy,volunteers

5.ChildLifePrograms
preventhospitalrelatedtraumasanddevelopmentaldelaysinhospitalizedchildren. Theteammembersoftheprogramsofferdailypsycho-neurologicalandmotorstimulationto
babies (in-patient and in the absence of a parent/legal guardian), art-therapy and recreative
activitiesforpreschoolersandschoolagedchildren.TheseactivitiestakeplaceinInocentihospital
playrooms,butalsoatthechildren'sbedsidewhentheycannotleavetheirsalonformedicalreasons.

helpchildrengothroughthehospitalexperience.

Bistrita-Nasaudcounty,inaseriesofexcitingsportsandartrelatedactivities.Eachchildhada

bringsmilesandjoyontheparticipants'faces!
