1. CPM - COST PER THOUSAND IMPRESSIONS.

In this model we'll publish your advertisement creative (gif, jpg, flash etc.) on our group websites and you have to pay us per

thousand impressions generated. Our current rate is Rs. 150 CPM i.e. you will pay us Rs.150 for every thousand impressions

generated. We can provide you as many impressions as your campaign/budget demands.

2. CPC - COST PER CLICK.

In this model we'll publish your advertisement creative and text links on our group websites and you have to pay us for every

click on your advertisement. Our current rate is Rs. 10 CPC i.e. you 'll pay Rs. 10 for every click. This is more of a performance

based model i.e. you are paying us only when your advertisement is clicked. We provide you the interface where you can track

your advertising campaign. We can see reports for impressions served or clicks received. In this model we can also provide

3. FIXED BANNERS

In this model we will give you fixed banner (gif, jpg, flash etc.) space our home page or home page with inside story pages; both

RULES & REGULATIONSFOR ACCEPTANCE OF R.O., BOOKING AND CANCELLATION OFADVERTISEMENTS1. Advertisements must comply with:

a. Our Code of Standardsb. State Lawsc. The Rules as stipulated in the Code of the Indian NewspaperSociety

2. We stand indemnified against claims arising directly orindirectly from the publication or non-publication of anadvertisement.

3. We endeavour to publish advertisements on schedule; but thedates of publication cannot be guaranteed.

4. We reserve the right to advance or postpone the date ofrelease by a week either way albeit after prior intimation.

5. We may at our sole discretion edit, classify, reject and choose

to omit, suspend or change the position of any adver tisement.6. Advertisements are accepted in good faith, but we cannotaccept responsibility for their veracity, delay, error, omission inpublication, forwarding replies and shrinkage in production,etc.

7. We reserve the right to revise rates and terms without issuingprior notice. In the event of any national, state or local leviesbeing imposed on printing materials, such taxes will bepayable by the adver tiser.

8. Release Orders received at incorrect rates will be booked atthe applicable tariff in force.

9. Irrespective of the rates mentioned in the release order, the

rates applicable to the category of ad released would becharged and payable.

10. All Release Orders must be accompanied by advertisementmaterials before the deadline as specified under materialspecification in the Rate Card. If in exceptional situations a confirmation is required, on thebasis of a letter or Release Order without accompanyingmaterial, the agency/client will have to boldly inscribe thelegend, 'Rate Category As Determined By You IsAcceptable', on both - the letter and R. O.

11. Rate as applicable on the insertion date will apply irrespectiveof the date of booking.

12. All ads falling in a package should be placed through a singlerelease order.

13. Written instructions for cancellation of B/W ads must bereceived within the following time span:

14. For all ads requesting box replies, a surcharge of Rs. 60/-[Sixty] will be levied.

15. In all Release Orders, Insertions having multiple

publications/editions should be consumed within the timespecified.16. Advanced bookings for Solus position adver tisements need

to be reconfirmed by the agency at least 4 days prior to thedeadline for the publication. Failure to do so authorizes us

to cancel the booking.17.These conditions are over and above any specific

agreement that may be set forth between our SpaceMarketing Department and the advertisers.

18. Death Certificate must be provided with Obituary Ads.19. FIR lodged-Proof must be provided for ads

regarding missing persons

20.Overseas recruitment agents should disclose theirrecruitment license number in the material.

ADVERTISING MATERIAL21. All advertisements are measured in sq cm. Advertisement

dimens ions in Release Orders must be specified aswidth(W) x height(Ht.) in cm.

22. The minimum size of an ad should be Wd. 8 cm x Ht. 6 cmfor appointments and Wd. 4cm x Ht 3 cm for all othercategories.

23. The responsibility of providing the ad material remains with the agency/client who places the booking for an

advertisement.24. Unless there are different creatives for a singleadvertisement, only one set of creatives need be submittedfor orders involving multiple publications within a singlepublication centre.

25. The materials will be accepted in PDF/EPS/Tiff/positiveform or in digital form.

26. Advertisers submitting their material in a CD [CompactDisc] must ensure that the CD does not contain any othermaterial other than what is relevant for the publishing of theadvertisement. Material submitted on a floppy will not beaccepted.

27. Advertisers must enclose a printout of the material when itis submitted in a digital format. For colour material, a colourprintout has to be provided.

28. If an agency/client submits a laser print / artwork, theresponsibility of reproduction rests with the agency/client.

29. The materials will be retained at our end for a period of onemonth from the date of publication.

30. Advertisers wanting to recall their materials should do sowithin 30 days of the publication of the same. After theexpiry of the 30-day period, we will not be responsible for

the material or republishing of the ad using the saidmaterial.

SCHEDULING AND PUBLICATION31. Last page of the publication minus pullouts offeatures/supplements is to be considered as the Back page.Back page implies the page with the print line.

32. a. Insertions within a package can be staggered over aperiod. However, depending on the type of package used,every insertion must be released within the following timeperiod:b. All releases staggered beyond the stipulated period will

attract a premium of 20% over normal rates.33. We do not accept any responsibility for missed or rejected

ads or reproduction complaints or any other complaintwhatsoever subsequent to the acceptance of the releaseorder/material.

34. Complaints on advertisements must be brought to ournotice within one week of publication; otherwise they willnot be entertained.

35. Size variations if any in advertisements, on any of ourpackages is permissible only to the extent of dealers'addresses/walk-in interview ads.

36. We reserve the right to cancel advertisements at any timeupon default in payment.

BILLING37. All advertisements, B/W or Colour specified for the Back

Page shall be charged at colour rates only.38. In terms of ad size for billing purpose, a fraction of sq. cm.

will be adjusted to the nearest integral sq. cm.For example, ads measuring 5 cm x 5.5 cm =

27.5 sq. cm. will be charged at 28 sq. cm.39. As in current practice, any ad with a height over45 cm will be billed at full height i.e. 50 cm andany ad with a width of over 29 cm will be billedat a width of 33 cm.

40. Every RO that contains the TIENA in the package shouldspecify the rate offered for TIENA separately.

41. Advertisers have the flexibility of not placing their ads incertain editions of a selected package. However in thiscase, the entire package rate will be charged.

42. Volume based discounts are applicable only if the

advertisement released is of equal size for the samebrand/product/service by a single agency/client on thesame Release Order. In such a case, dates of all insertions

must be mentioned on the R. O. before publication of thefirst ad. No R. O. will be accepted if all insertion dates arenot mentioned.

43. In case of cancellation of any insertion [after thepublication of the first insertion] at a later date, the relevantslab rate will apply.

44. Where an agency/client avails of free ads under any schemeor promotion, the specific dates of insertion of all adsincluding the free ads must be mentioned in a single R. O.

45. Multiple edition/publication rates will be calculated as thesum of individual edition/publication rates.

46. Obituary ads released by individuals will enjoy a 50%

discount on the card rate.47. Any discounts for social awareness ads will be subject tothe discretion of the management.

48. Certified voucher cutting of advertisements will beprovided on request latest upto 3 months from the date ofpublication.

49. Foreign bills will be raised at the Dollar Rates applicable onthe date of insertion.

50. The maximum possible refund for any valid complaint willbe the cost of the insertion, if found applicable.

51. These terms and conditions are subject to change withoutprior notice.

52. We are not bound by any condition which is in conflict withthose stated in our Rate Card.

CANCELLATION AND POSTPONEMENT CHARGES53. Cancellations and postponement charges will be applicable

to advertisements, which are cancelled or postponedindefinitely. These shall be applicable to confirmed ReleaseOrders only.

54. The advertiser will be charged a portion of the rate ofinsertion in this case as provided below:

55. No cancellation of publication/edition will be allowed withinany standard packages.
