INTRODUCTIONSports, Entertainment and Politics are the main areas of interest prevailing in India.
The Indian Youth with an enormous spending power spend their money in
entertainment and sports. Imagine a situation, where in a Bangalore youth walks

have this type of welcome especially with the recent thumping inauguration of IPL.
Cricket, once used to be a gentleman's game now receives thumping response from
all age groups with the introduction of Twenty 20 format. In fact, T20 has become a
major means of entertainment.

IPL EXPLAINED
IPL - The concept1
The Indian Premier League (IPL) was launched by the BCCI on September 14, 2007
amid a lot of media hype. Based on the lines of the English Premier League (EPL)
and the National Basketball League (NBA), the IPL is apparently the brainchild of
BCCI vice-president Lalit Modi. The idea was tossed up as far back as 1996 but was
turned down by the Board which thought the concept would contradict its structureof domestic cricket.
The League will have some of the best cricketers from around the world playing for
eight teams, alongside Indian senior and under-19 cricketers.
IPL, which now has a title sponsor in DLF, will see a total of 59 matches spanning
over 44 days beginning April 18.
The people who matterThe BCCI has formed an IPL council which will include former BCCI president IS
Bindra, Vice presidents Rajiv Shukla, Chirayu Amin, Lalit Modi and Arun Jaitley whowill be honorary members. Former cricketers Sunil Gavaskar, Ravi Shastri and
Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi will be paid for their services to the Council. The Council
will in its five year term run, operate and manage the League completely
independent of the BCCI.

The Franchise sale received much hype because it involved a clutch of high profilecorporate, high net worth individuals, and several private equity funds., (Reliance,ADAG , GMR, UB Group) & Bollywood Stars ( Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta ).
The Seller (BCCI) had laid some conditions for buying a franchise, the conditions
are:
Reserve Price4: The minimum bid for each franchise is US $50 Million. At thetime of submitting the tender form the bidder has to pay US $5 Million asguarantee amount.
The bidder can bid for all the 8 Franchise out of 12. They can own only one.
The Minimum stadium capacity of 25,000 along with floodlight facilities.Motivation of the seller (BCCI) is to maximize the revenue.
The BiddersThe Bidders applied for the following franchises:

process as their bids came in late.
Sealed-Bid First Price Auction
Before discussing the details of the strategy for Vijay Mallya & UB group a few wordson the auction type.
Sealed-bid auction
Definition: An auction in which the bids are submitted simultaneously, so that noone bidder knowns what the other bidders have bid is called a sealed bid.
4 Reserve Price: the minimum price the seller would accept.

8 | P a g e C o r p o r a t e R e s t r u c t u r i n g
A sealed-bid format has two distinct parts--a bidding period in which participantssubmit their bids, and a resolution phase in which the bids are opened and thewinner determined.
Sealed bid-auctions have these characteristics:
Single round first price: The bidder who submits the highest price gets the
item & pays the price he bids. Single round second price: In a Second-price sealed bid auction, each bidder
offers a price & the bidder who offers the highest price is the buyer; but theprice the buyer pays is the second highest price bid.
Multiple rounds: Sealed bid auctions can also be conducted with multipleround.
Auction StrategiesThe auction strategy is a very complex process because it involves numerousvariables.
Is a bidder is risk-averse or risk-neutral?
Is the auction is for one item or multiple items? Does the bidder plans to resell the acquired object or use it for himself?
Does the bidder have any secret information about the object or the otherbidders?
All of these factors play an important role in framing the auction strategy.
From a Sellers PerspectiveIn any auction a seller can influence results by revealing information about theobject. So a seller's optimal strategy is to reveal information and to link the final price tooutside indicators of value. This was done by IPL Chairman Lalit Modi on Jan 15th by
revealing the Media rights.
From a Bidder's PerspectiveA word on the Bidder(Vijay Mallay).
A Member of Parliament from Karnataka.
Mallya the sultan of self-regard.
He delights in being photographed surrounded by young, beautiful women orrich, rapidly ageing men and is happy to be called the Richard Branson ofIndia or the king of good times.
He rarely loses any auction. He won the Sword of Tippu Sultan in London
auction, F1 racing car.
After going through the above characteristics we can conclude that Vijay Mallay is aRisk-Averse. Since Vijay Mallay is risk-averse (meaning he absolutely requires theitem being auctioned) tends to bid higher so that he will have a greater chance ofvictory.
The auction is for single item, which is Bangalore franchise. The bidder acquired the item for his use.

The bidder has the following information about the item & the other bidder which isAnil Ambani.Once the bidder gets to know the amount of Media rights (because it represents theMajor part of the Franchise revenue) sold. He can alter his bid.As per the media reports, Vijay Mallay was the sole runner for BangaloreFranchise.
The Media rights were sold at Rs.4000 Crore or US $1.026 billion. If we split-up therevenue as per the revenue sharing system.Assuming only 8 teams are going to play in the next 10 years.

Minimum money we can expect from BCCI is Rs. 285 Crore or US $72 million or
maximum of Rs.333 Crore or US $ 82 million. The other revenues includes Local revenues which will fetch him another Rs. 60Crore or US $15 million for another ten years.
These assumptions will hold well only if these 8 teams play for next 10 years. ButIPL Chairman already told that he will include some more teams after 5 years ofsuccessful completion of IPL tournament. The overall revenue expected from the Central & local revenue will bearound Rs.400 Crore to Rs. 450 Crore (i.e. US $100 million to US $112million) for 10 years. The expenses should be less than Revenue to make profit. (Profit =Revenue > expenses)(Loss =Expense > Revenue)
So the expenses should be three-fourth of the overall revenue (US $ 100to $ 112 million). So the minimum bid to buy the franchise is US $ 75 Mn or US $ 84 Mn. Butnot more than US $ 90 Mn, if the bidder bids more than US $ 90 Mn thechances of making profit will be a herculean task.
Vijay Mallay Calculated Franchise Fees based only on Revenues, Mediarights i.e. Rs 4104 Crore*.09 = Rs 369.5 Crore & appreciated by 21 %(includes Local revenues) i.e. Rs 369.50*1.21=Rs 446.4(US $111.6 Mn).
The major step missed while calculating the bid amount was not considering theexpenses. If he had considered the expenses (i.e. Franchise fees+ players costs + Admin+ event
Mgmt+ Stadium)
I.e. US $ 12 Mn (Franchise Fee) + 5(Players Cost) + 5(assuming Admin+ event Mgmt+
Stadium) = US $ 22 Mn/year.
Players cost will be increasing every 3 years.

revenues will be in

Vijay Rekhi, president of

Group.

To make profit the bidder should bid up to US $75 Mn & not more than US$ 90 Mn.
The result of his bidding strategy was very much showed in the first year IPLbalance sheet
1. Revenue(Rs in Crore) 2. Expenses Total
A .Media Rights = 35 A .Franchise Fee = 48 Revenue Expenses =B .Team Sponsor = 0 B .Team Expenses = 22 45 88 =(43)C. Gate Receipts = 10 C .Ads/ Admin = 18 Net Loss of Rs.43 Cr Or
US $11 Mn.Total (A + B + C )= 45 Total (A+ B+C)= 88
The Lessons to be learnt from Vijay Mallay is:1. Homogeneous: As theoretical literature assumes the auction participants
are homogeneous (risk neutral and symmetric--they use the samedistribution function to estimate valuations). It assumes bidders all focus onmaximizing profits and that only one item is being auctioned.
2. Estimate the Cost of your competitor: Paul Milgrom describes a strategyfor contract bidding. "To make money in competitive bidding, you will need tomark up your bids twice: once to correct for the underestimation of costs onthe projects you win and a second time to include a margin for profit. Don'tlet the presence of several competing bidders push you into making tooaggressive a bid. The markup to adjust for underestimation will have to belarger the larger the number of your competitors and the more you respectthe accuracy of their cost estimation; you may, however, want to make theprofit markup smaller when there are more competitors.
3. Do not use naive bidding strategy: The most important lessons to belearned from both the theory and the experiments are that the returns inbidding come from cost and information advantages, that naive bidding
strategies can squander these advantages, and that bidders without someadvantage have little hope of earning much profit, but could with a little bit ofcarelessness suffer large losses."
4. Irrational: Try to be as much rational &participate in the auction because to avoidthe Winners Curse. To avoid Winnerscurse try to bid lesser than your rivals.
5. It is worth understanding the rules of anauction thoroughly.
First-Price, Sealed Bid Strategy
It is difficult to specify a single strategy becausea profit-maximizing bid depends upon the actionsof others. The tradeoff is between bidding highand winning more often and bidding low andbenefiting more if the bid wins (bigger profitmargin).
Most bidders attempt to shade their bids to move closer to market consensus. Thisalso helps to avoid winner's curse.

The Franchises
The eight teams in the fray, Kolkata, Mumbai, Mohali, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Bangalore,Chennai and Delhi were sold to eight franchises that paid staggering amounts toown the teams. The owners are given below:
Franchise Owners Price (USD)Mumbai Mukesh Ambani $111.9 Mn
Bangalore Vijay Mallay & UB group $111.6 MnHyderabad Deccan Chronicle $107 Mn
Chennai India Cements & Srinivas $ 91 MnDelhi GMR Holdings $ 84 Mn

Rajasthan Emerging Media $ 67 Mn
Players Auction
The Seller (BCCI) had laid some conditions for buying players, the conditions are:
Auction Type is Open type (English Auction5
)
1. Each player has an annual "base player fee"6.2. Franchise should spend up to US $5 million on players auction.3. For each player, the following information will be included: name, nationality,
specialism, base player fee, and expected "percentage availability" for the2008 DLF IPL season.
4. Within the sets, the order that players will be presented for auction will bedetermined by a random draw that will take place in the Auction room.
5. Bidders will raise a paddle to indicate a bid (only one official bidder perFranchise).
6. Each bid will represent the player fee per season to be paid by the Franchise
to the player for each of the seasons 2008, 2009 and 2010, ignoring anyperiods of unavailability. Once made, no bid may be withdrawn.7. If more than one Franchise is interested in a particular player, the DLF IPL
may hold a further Auction to determine which Franchise will sign that player.8. The player fees of any Icon players (at the date of publication of these rules,
Tendulkar, Dravid, Ganguly, Yuvraj) being 115% of the highest player fee inthat Franchises squad will count towards the maximum purse of $5m.
9. The contract with the player will be for a fixed term of three years.10.The minimum "percentage availability" for any player included in the Auction
will be 25%.11.If a player is expected to be either completely unavailable or only available
for less than four of the DLF IPL matches in 2008, 25% of the player fee bid
for that player in the auction will count against the $5m purse. For example, the purchase for $400,000 of a player, who is expected to be completelyunavailable in 2008, will cause a deduction of $100,000 from the Franchisesoverall $5m purse.
5 . "Here the auctioneer begins with the lowest acceptable price--the reserve price--and proceeds to solicit successively higher bids from the customers until no one willincrease the bid. The item is sold to the highest bidder."6 The base player fee will be the fee at which the bidding for that player starts.
8/14/2019 rcb1
13/49
13 | P a g e C o r p o r a t e R e s t r u c t u r i n g
12.Every year, players can be traded from one team to another in February on afree market basis. The IPL will not be involved in this and it will be confined tothe player concerned, the seller and the buyer (franchises).
Bidding increments will be as follows:Bids up to $100,000 increments of $5,000
Bids from $100,000 to $250,000 increments of $10,000Bids from $250,000 to $500,000 increments of $25,000Bids in excess of $500,000 increments at the auctioneers discretion.
English Strategy
In a private-value English auction, a player's best strategy is to bid a small amountmore than the previous high bid until he reaches his valuation and then stop. This isoptimal because he always wants to buy an object if the price is less than its valueto him, but he wants to pay the lowest possible price.
An advantage to English auctions is that a bidder gains information.
A player's strategy is his series of bids as a function of (1) his value, (2) his priorestimate of the other players' valuations, and (3) the past bids of other players. Hisbid can be updated as information changes.
Vijay Mallay, Rahul Dravid & Charu Sharma participated in the players auction &selected the team members. Official bidder was Rahul Dravid.
Quote of Vijay Mallay after winning the Franchise & players:
Mallya drew parallel from the English Premier league. "It was
only a matter of time before Indian cricket went beyond the
Duleep Trophyand Ranji Trophy. The auction has been an exciting
process and all the franchisees got what they wanted. IPL is the
best thing that has happened to Indian cricket. It offers
youngsters the chance to make money and also to improve their
skill sets by playing alongside international players," he said.
Bangalore, the team Mallya owns, will be holding the opening
ceremony in April. "I look forward to welcoming the teams, the
BCCI and ICC. I would like to conclude by saying that while there
is a business objective for our involvement in IPL there is also a
sporting objective. We are also hoping to contribute to the
development of youngsters in sport," Mallya said.

THE COLLAPSE
Royal Challengers Bangalore7
Royal Challengers Bangalore (also referred to as RCB) is the team representing the
city of Bangalore in the Indian Premier League, the inaugural Twenty20 cricket
tournament to be held in India. The team is owned by the liquor magnate Vijay
Mallya, the chairman of UB Group. Brijesh Patel is the CEO of the team and Rahul
Dravid, the captain of the team is the Icon Player. Martin Crowe, the former New
Zealand captain, is the CCO (Chief Cricketing Officer) of the management team.
Vijay Mallya wanted to associate one of his top-selling liquor brands, either No. 1
McDowell's or Royal Challenge with the team. The latter was chosen, hence the
name. The jersey colors of the team are red and golden yellow, the same as the
Karnataka state flag, and the logo consists of the RC emblem with "Royal
Challengers Bangalore" in standard format.

He is a very good friend of Dravid.
Dravid selected 'conservative' players like him.
The "quite, nice guy type".

The Collapse
The team won only 5 of its 14 matches in theInaugural IPL Season. The reason for collapse
was cited as:
Team Composition
Before going into details of Team Composition, Martin Crowe cites the followingreasons for the team collapse:
Shakespeare to Mallay, after giving responsibility to Charu
& Dravid for selecting the team & they selected a bad
team.
He was a gentleman on whom I built an absolute trust.

and too slow."

19 | P a g e C o r p o r a t e R e s t r u c t u r i n g
There is no one or particular area that deserves more blame than anyoneelse. People speculated at the start what type of team we were (a Test side)and that's the way it has turned out. We didn't have Twenty20 batsmen.
Lack of facilities and time
"The compositions of the team, the fact that key players were coming out of a
Test series and had just one day to prepare. Our facilities at the home groundwere poor - we got the worst practice facilities that I have ever seen in 25years of international cricket, so preparing was even harder."
Solution given by Martin Crowe"I think you have to go in with a clean sheet and look at bringing players that wouldbe suitable for IPL. Get as many new Twenty20 recruits as possible,"
Analysis of Team CompositionThe official rules for the tournament are here. Some of the Team composition rulesare:
Total squad strength of 16 players plus one physio and a coach. No more than 8 foreign players in the squad and at most 4 in the playing XI. A minimum of 4 local players must be included in each team. No fewer than 4 players from the BCCI under-22 pool in each team.
Normally Cricket playing team consists of eleven players (5 batsmens, 5blowers &a wicket keeper).
5(Batsmens) +5(Blowers) +1(Wk/Batsmen) =11 Playing Team Members.
This is general format of the game.
Applying the above format to the RCB team, it consists of:
5(All-rounders) +9(Batsmans) +3(Wk/Batsman) +8(Bowlers) =25 Players.
As per IPL format, a team should consist of 4 foreign players, 4 from catchment
area8 & 4 below 22 years.
i.e. 4(Foreign Players) +4(Catchment area) +4(Below 22 yrs) =IPL team.
This is the minimum requirement for selecting the team.
8 Catchment area = Indian National team+ Ranaji Trophy (Karnataka, Goa andServices) +U-19 Team.

Applying the above criteria to the Royal Challengers team, it consists of:
9(Foreign Players) +12(Catchment Area) +4(Below 22 Yrs) = RCB
There are many ways to select a Cricket Team, I have mentioned only four
1. Names of famous players.2. Selection criteria for each player.3. Find winning talent for pennies or Money ball Concept.4. Fundamental Analysis
Names of Famous playersUnder this selection process the Captain or Franchise owner will be choosing theplayers based on there names like Hayden, Gibbs who are famous internationally. Inthis process the players will not be scanned based on there performance i.e.batting, bowling & fielding averages. Vijay Mallay had actually thought of thisconcept of selecting team, but his Team Captain & CEO did not allow it to happen.
Criteria for selecting International Players:
The below mentioned criteria are mine & it should be considered as a sign-post butnot as a rule of thumb.
1. Check his National, County & local commitments.
2. Fitness.
3. Should have represented his National One-day & 20-20 team.
4. Should have single handedly won a match for his National team in One-day
internationals & 20-20 match.
5. Age.
6. Should not hire a Pakistan & Bangladesh Player.
Applying the above Criteria to the RCB team:
Criteria 1: The RCB team messed up with this first condition. They hired players
who have already committed to their National, County &local teams.
You can play only four overseas players in a match, so whats the
point in buying eight? Vijay Mallya.
8/14/2019 rcb1
21/49
21 | P a g e C o r p o r a t e R e s t r u c t u r i n g
Ex: Dale Steyn was not available for first 8 to 9 matches due to his local
commitments.
Chanderpaul & Ross Taylor left the team in the middle of the tournament for
there National commitment.
Criteria 2: Always make sure the hired guy is fit for the whole tournament. But RCB
team missed this point.
Ex: Nathan Bracken was having the injury before the auction took place.
Criteria 3: The RCB team should have thought twice before hiring a player.
Ex: Kallis represents his One-day National team but does not represent his 20-20
National team.
Criteria 4: This Criterion was well followed by RCB team. They have selected
the entire International player who has single handedly won for there national team.
Criteria 5: Age criteria always play a crucial role in 20-20 cricket because this
format of game is made for young blood. I think this criterion was overlooked by
RCB team.
Ex: Out of 9 players, 4 guys are below 25 yrs& 5 guys are above 30 yrs.
Criteria 6: This criterion was misunderstood by RCB team.
Ex: They hired Misbah (Pak) & Razzak (Ban) who are from Muslim Community. As per
there religion they are not supposed to endorse liquor or consume liquor. Since the
Franchisee owner is a Liquor Barron. Back home, Misbah & Razzak received badpublicity by joining RCB team.
Criteria for selecting Catchment area & Under-22The below mentioned criteria are mine & it should be considered a sign-post but not
as rule of thumb.
1. Should have played T20 cricket for the National team.
2. Age
3. Burning desire to make it into National team, if he is a Ranji player.Applying the above criteria to the RCB team:
Criteria 1: The RCB has not understood the T20 format. The Icon player of the
RCB team has not played T20 games.
Ex: Dravid, Kumble, Chipli have not played the T20 format in there career.
8/14/2019 rcb1
22/49
22 | P a g e C o r p o r a t e R e s t r u c t u r i n g
Criteria 2: The RCB has forgotten the age of the players while selecting the
team.
Ex: Dravid, Kumble, Arun Kumar, Sunil joshi are aged more than 33 years.
Criteria 3: The Catchment area for the RCB team is Karnataka Ranji Team. Apart
from Robin Uthappa, nobody has made it to the National team from the past 2Years. This shows that there desire to play for the country.
Money ball ConceptThis concept is similar to derivatives market:
Identify successful approaches.
Figure out the critical components that feed into that success.
Buy them up.
In more direct Cricket terms:1. Identify what types of performance required from batsmen or blowers.
2. Highlight the areas of desirable performance that OTHER TEAMS ARE NOTCONCENTRATING ON (this is important).
3. Identify players who provide those types of performance.4. Acquire those players who are affordable (cheap).

Fundamental AnalysisBasically this concept is taken from the Stock Selection Criteria used in Financefield. Stock selection criteria is a strategy in which an analyst or investor uses asystematic form of analysis to determine if a particular stock constitutes a goodinvestment which should be added to their portfolio.
The objective of stock selection criteria is maximizing total return on investment(appreciation plus any dividends received) for the target holding period, subject tolimiting risk to acceptable levels.
Here in this context, the objective of using this concept is to maximizing total returnon investment for the target holding period of three years. Some of the players picking approaches are given below:
1. Selection Components: Player (Stock) picking can be an extremely difficultand complex endeavor because there is no foolproof method for reliablyforecasting a players (stocks) future price movements or playersperformance. However, by carefully examining numerous factors, an investoror captain may get a better sense of future stock prices or player
performance than by relying on unsubstantiated speculation. The analyticalcomponents that are most commonly utilized by equity investors or Teamcaptain in a suggested stock selection or player selection approach includethe following criteria:
Sector Analysis: Since cricket consists of four departments i.e.batting, bowling, wicket keeping & all-rounder. This componentinvolves identification and analysis of all departments that are likely toexhibit relatively superior performance results during the whole series.
Quantitative Cumulative Value Analysis: This method considerspast records of the players.
2. Composite Score: This concept is used to compare the players in the samesector or department.
Example: Wicket keeping batsman like Gilchrist & Boucher.3. Rules of Thumb for each department: There are several strategic rules of
thumb or criteria that should be evaluated when considering buying aparticular player or department. They are mentioned below:
Rules of Thumb for Batsmen
Batting Average: Batting average is the total number of runs he has scoreddivided by the number of times he has been out. If the batting average is below 30, its AVERAGE. If the batting average is between 30 & 40, then its is GOOD. If the batting average is above 40, then its EXPECTIONAL.
Strike Rate: Batting strike rate is a measure of how frequently a batsmanachieves the primary goal of batting, namely scoring runs. Batting strike rateis defined for a batsman as the average number of runs scored per 100 ballsfaced. If the strike rate is below 50, then its AVERAGE. If the strike rate is between 50 to 80, then its GOOD. If the strike rate is more than 100, then its EXPECTIONAL.
8/14/2019 rcb1
24/49
24 | P a g e C o r p o r a t e R e s t r u c t u r i n g
Boundary clearing ability: This rule helps us to check the number of 4s &6s hit in the ODIs in his career.
Rules of Thumb for Bowlers
Bowling average: A bowler's bowling average is defined as the totalnumber of runs conceded by the bowler divided by the number of wicketstaken by the bowler.
Strike Rate: Bowling strike rate is a measure of how frequently a bowlerachieves the primary goal of bowling, namely taking wickets. Bowling strikerate is defined for a bowler as the average number of balls bowled per wickettaken. The lower the strike rate, the more effective a bowler is.
Economy Rate: Economy Rate (Econ): The average number of runsconceded per over.(Econ = Runs/overs bowled).
Rule of Thumb for Wicket-keeper
Same as Batsman
Rules of Thumb for All-Rounder
There are three types of all-rounders batting all-rounder, bowling all-rounder&wkt-keeping all-rounder.All-rounder is someone whos batting or bowling skills, considered alone, would begood enough to win them a place on the team. One commonly used statistical rule of thumb is that the batting average of an all-rounder (the higher the better) should be greater than the bowling average (thelower the better).
Note: Not all the players analysis has not been done.

A West Indian cricketer of Indo-Guyanese ethnicity, the left-handed Chanderpaul is
known for his doggedness. A prolific stroke maker on both sides of the wicket, his
signature stance confounds many bowlers. Chanderpaul best first class score is
303* versus Jamaica, and, despite his reputation as a dour batsman, his 67-ball
century is the fourth fastest century in Test cricket. He emulated Graham Dowling to
become only the second player to make a double century on debut as a Test
captain, scoring an unbeaten 200 against South Africa. His ability to effortlessly shift
gears, particularly in one-day games, has seen him scoring some centuries at a
really brisk pace. Chanderpaul is distinctly remembered for his "baseball-style" tape
under his eyes, which he started wearing after a successful run scoring spree
besides known for using a bail from the stumps to "mark his guard".

The first thing is to decide what you are trying to do. You
then decide both how many people you need, what kind of
people & what skills are requiredChris Bonington
Step 1: First find the Gap
First of all you have to reorganize that you want somebody is particular situationthat is terribly important. Having identified the gap you have to identify in yourmind the Strength & Achievements of the sort of person you want for the situation.
Step 2: Find the right man for the Job
Step 3: Hire someone loyal to intention
Choosing people to work around is a combination of two things, experience &enthusiasm.Experience helps a lot in certain situation. Enthusiasm encompasses dedicationbecause people who are very, very enthusiastic about ideas are dedicated togetting thing done & making them work. One follows the other: enthusiasm,
dedication, loyalty.
Step 4: Plant a catalyst
First recognizing the weakness in a team or the skills gaps, it also recognizes theneed for catalyst in a team; its brings sensitive to the way individuals react toanother, how they complement one another.
Team Motivation
Use people wisely
Display a sense of involvement
You dont have to be liked: A leader should not need to be loved but shouldbehave in such a manner that he or she is loved.
Communicate goals
Offering the carrots: Rewards are powerful way of producing change throughsubject to certain limitation.
Criticize the performance not the performer.
Even after using the above methods if we did not get the desired result
then Get rid of those People
Strategy for Divisional Restructuring
Cricket consists of four divisions batting, bowling, wicket keeping/batsman & all-rounder. Refer team analysis. This restructuring is done on the basis of IPL format
(i.e. foreign player + Catchment Area + Under-22). No new player should berecruited for the next 2 years. Since every players contract will expire after 3 years.New recruitment should happen after 2 years.
Foreign Player Catchment Area Below 22 Years1. Jacques Kallis 1. Rahul Dravid 1. Virat Kohli2. Cameron White 2. Wasim Jaffer 2. Shreevats

Strategy for Revenue restructuring
After seeing the balance sheet we can improve the revenue from three sources:1. Team sponsor: First find somebody to sponsor the team. It helps to reduce
the losses.

Bangladesh, Mark Boucher of SA. If you can find a buyer to sell some of yourInternational players then sell.By selling the players we will be fetching around
US $ 200,000+ 120,000 + 450,000 + 62,500 = US $ 832,500 or (Rs.3.663 Crores/year)
