The People God Uses:

“Only fear the Lord, and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you.”

(I Samuel 12:24)

The question has been asked what kind of person does the Lord use and work through? While God can and does work through mankind, it is however, a fact that God mainly works through those that know Him. The only way to know Him is through a personal relationship. Then

comes the shocking truth. God uses “ordinary people.”

G.K. Chesterton stated it this way: “Consider the wisdom of mankind. When we want electronic work or solar work done we call in the ex-perts. But when we try a man in court for murder we call in 12 ordi-

nary jurors.”

The point is that God uses ordinary people to accomplish His plans for the world. In the Bible the people used were fishermen, tax collectors and basically just ordinary people. If your excuse has ever been that you don’t think God wants to work through you, then you are wrong.

God is directing the paths of mankind today, fear Him, serve Him, and consider the great things He has done for you.
