IMPORTANCE OF NUTRITION
Nutrition starts at infancy. Breastfeeding is the most nutritional food for a newborn.
Proper nutrition is important to their mental and physical development.
It is important to make sure we are doing all that we can to fuel our children’s bodies with healthy food.
By providing healthy food we are helping the growth and development of children so that they grow up to be individuals who are ready to compete in the world.

According to Dr Jatinder Bhatia, professor and chief of the section ofneonatology at the Department of Pediatric at the medical College ofGeorgia “Children’s daily caloric intake, which provides them energy,should be balanced between Carbohydrates and Protein with theremaining energy coming from good fats”
Children also need iron, Vitamin D, Calcium and Fiber.

CHILDRENS EATING HABITS ARE OF UTMOST IMPORTANCE.
A BALANCED DIET WHEN YOUNG, WILL AFFECT AN ENTIRE LIFETIME.
GETTING KIDS TO EAT THEIR FRUIT AND VEGETABLES IS AN AGE OLD PROBLEM, MADE EVEN MORE DIFFICULT IN THESE TIMES OF JUNK AND FAST FOODS.
IT IS HARD TO ARGUE WITH THE HEALTH BENEFITS OF A DIET RICH IN VEGETABLES AND FRUITS.
MOST OF THE VITAMINS AND MINERALS CHILDREN NEED TO DEVELOP, GROW, THINK AND FIGHT DISEASE ARE FOUND IN FRUIT AND VEGETABLES.
IT IS NOW RECOMMENDED THAT KIDS SHOULD EAT 5-7 SERVINGS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES PER DAY FOR OPTIMAL HEALTH.

MOST KIDS, IN FACT, MORE THAN 85% OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CHILDREN, DO NOT GET THE RECOMMENDED AMOUNT OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES.
OF COURSE, YOU WANT YOUR KIDS TO EAT HEALTHIER FOODS, BUT THE CHALLENGE IS HOW YOU DO THIS WITHOUT NAGGING AND CREATING A NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE AT THE DINNER TABLE.
THAT IS THE REAL CHALLENGE!
INCREASING YOUR CHILDS FRUIT AND VEGETABLE INTAKE STARTS WITH A LITTLE PLANNING.
It is important to include them so they feel moreinvested in improving the family’s overall diet. It isimportant that this be a family experience rather than‘Just for Kids”.
Keeping them involved and exposing them in different ways to fruits and vegetables is a key element to getting them curious and interested in these healthy food groups.
Find books, songs or television programs that discuss fruit and vegetables in a fun way.
Then plan on making a field trip to the local farmers market or orchard.
The children like to experience afterwards the things that they have read about.

LIMITED RESOURCES, PROTECT THE PLANET FROM POLLUTION, PREVENT GLOBAL WARMING AND SAVE COUNTLESS SPECIES FROM EXTINCTION.
THE FOOD THAT IS PREPARED FOR CHILDREN MUST TASTE DELICIOUS.MUST LOOK ENTICING AND INTERESTING WITH DIFFERENT COLORS AND TEXTURES, AND MUST BE NUTRITIOUS.
REMEMBER: “IT IS EASIER TO BUILD STRONG CHILDREN THAN TO REPAIR BROKEN MEN”
