    1.1 Dealing with difficult words:

    When you are reading a text without the help of a dictionary and thereis a word which you dont know, you may carry out the followingtechniques:

    look at the function of the word in the sentence

    look at the context of the word in the sentence and the text.

    Lets put into practice these suggestions.

    What function does the word have in the sentences what work

    is it doing?

    Is it a noun, an adjective, a verb or an adverb? Identify the nouns,

    adjectives, verbs and adverbs.
