Task – Today, we are going to write the ending to our story.
What type of creature will it be? A ferocious wolf
Where is the story set? Snowy forest in Canada
What happens in the story? Sam DeBerry has been asked to be Little Red Riding
Hood. Bob Newman wants to capture the wolf and use it to promote his film.
Example
Hurriedly, Newman, the trapper and some crew raced into the forest in search of the wolf and
Sam. Shreds of the blood-red cloak lay scattered on the forest floor like a trail of
breadcrumbs. Cautiously, they slowed down as the neared a dark cave, hidden amongst the
undergrowth. Rifles ready, torches were switched on and the pursuers entered the cave. A net
was set at the entrance, in the hope of catching the wolf.
Deep within the cave, Sam lay trapped under the paw of this immense creature. The damp
smelling stench of dog got stronger as the rescue party got nearer. The wolf sensed his
approaching captors and dragged Sam deeper into the cave. Seeing the movements in the
shadows, the trapper shot first, followed by a string of shots by Newman. Several hit the
target and the wolf dropped to the floor.
Immediately, the beast was caged, injected with a sedative and prepared for shipping. This
would be a perfect tool to promote Newman’s new film.
Audiences flocked to the opening night with the ferocious exhibit caged at the entrance to the
cinema. The leading lady arrived and stepped out of the stretched limousine. Cameras flashing,
Sam DeBerry glided down the red carpet, wearing the familiar blood-red cloak.
This instantly enraged the wolf, as began to rattle the cage. The hinges supporting the cage
were snapped and the cage rolled off the platform. Instantly, the wolf was free and the
terrified crowd fled for their lives. He immediately pounced in Sam’s direction but fortunately
the cinema doors closed behind her.
Without a second thought, the security opened fire, repeatedly striking their target. The
bloody body of the wolf lay lifeless on the red carpet. This wasn’t the publicity that Bob
Newman wanted but ‘news was news’ in the world of entertainment.

The Romans Baths – 03/07/20
Task: Today, we are going to look at a drawing of the famous Roman baths in Bath. This
is a good example of depth and perspective. Look carefully at the straight lines and how
they give a sense of depth to the drawing. These parallel lines make the drawing look
real.
Drawing a frame for you picture
is a great idea. This will help
you when thinking about the
size of your drawing and the
parallel lines that are needed.
Pick one of these pictures to
draw.
