Reviews

This is a series of books starting at the 13 story treehouse and getting taller by 13 stories each book going all the way up to the 117 stories! This one is the one I would recommend as it has a lot of drama and adventure. My favourite part is when Terry, one of the main characters (Andy being the other one) gets to be a movie star and Andy, his best friend, gets shrugged by him and goes to spend time with his clones, which were made by just one of thousands of their awesome inventions. They also have a lot of cool rooms such as: the scribbleatarium, the fortune teller with a crystal ball and lastly the emergency room of chips which to get to you have to pass a room of lasers.

This book is extremely good! The harry Potter series is just amazing, but this book has to be my favourite out of the seven! It’s Harry’s second year at Hogwarts but everyone is talking about the heir of slytherin...could it be Harry? Someone has set out a monster to kill pupils at Hogwarts. How will Harry, Hermione and Ron save them and defeat the monster? Poor Ginny is only in her first year but she sure gets into a lot of trouble. I definitely recommend this book! But of course you should read the first book before reading this one as it's the second of the Harry Potter series.

This novel is a gripping adventure of Olive who lives in the war time. Her sister, Sukie, goes missing after an explosion in London. The story gets really capti-vating when Olive has to be evacuated to Devon with her brother, Cliff. They stay with a secretive lighthouse keeper and lots of other intriguing characters. Olive and Cliff are determined to find out what happened to Sukie and this leads them into lots of danger. I’ve read about World War One but not about World War Two. It was interesting to see World War Two from a child’s perspective.

In my opinion this book is a bit like lockdown at the start, minus the hot tub in your roof, but it is similar because they are stuck in their grandma's basement just like we are in our houses. We are only allowed out for essentials like shopping, they are only allowed out for the toilet and food because their grandma plays bingo in the house with people for hours and does not let them come out till everyone's gone.

They soon get fed up with the basement and dream of holidays. Greg, the main character is clearly sick of his family and wants to go on a holiday on his own but in the end agrees to go on a camping trip. I like the book because its similar to what is happening in the world right now.
