This CD contains an English Course(notes and activities) on ReadingStrategies.

The notes explain some theoreticalaspects, the activities help you getto know and develop as manyreading strategies as you want.

By studying this Course on Readingstrategies you will improve yourefficency and speed when reading in

English.



WHAT TO DO?

Read the notes in every activity. Follow the specific instructions. Visit the site(s) in every activity. Do all the exercises you are asked to. Copy every solved exercise onto a Word

document. Print it and give it to theteacher.

You will receive a note from the teacher

every time she receives homework fromyou. Don’t forget to save your receipts. You have to do at least three activities

every week. See the self-control sheet.

Evaluation in this course willbe done by three means:

Comments on your

homeworks by theteacher. Comments on your

homeworks from otherstudents in the course.

Activity 1.2.Identify your specific weaknesses when reading in

English!

Find the kind of strategies that you need most:Lack of concentration?Lack of interest?

Poor vocabulary?Problems to organize ideas? Read one of the strategies and write it down as a series of

steps you have to follow. You may start: 1. Pay attention topictures, graphs, etc. 2. Try to predict what the text is about.3….

Don’t forget to write the ‘name’ of the strategy at the top. Read 3 strategies more. Write each one as a series of steps
