A Church Renovation of Living StonesWhen the parish of St. Philip Neri-Blessed Sacrament began the process of renovating the church, therewas the idea among many that the church building needed a sprucing up, a renewed look and feel. Theprocess began with the idea that it could be better. From there a vision arose of what could be. Parishleadership then shared that vision to all parishioners of every age and income and invited them tocontribute and participate not merely in a construction project, but in the vision of what could be.Today that vision has come to fulfillment. Praise God!

Everyone is aware that this parish is more than its buildings. The parish is made up of living stones(1 Peter 2:5). As St. Philip Neri-Blessed Sacrament enjoys the completion of one vision of renovation, now is a good time to ask whether God is placing in your hearts a vision of a Church Renovation madeup of living stones. Could it be better? Do you see what it could be?

Please join in the annual St. Philip Neri-Blessed Sacrament ParishAdvent Mission held on three nights Sunday, Monday, & TuesdayDecember 8, 9, and 10 at 7pm. In our church with fellowship andRefreshments following in our Parish Center. Fr. Jeff Lorig will beour speaker.

Fr. Lorig, Archdiocese of Omaha Director of Pastoral Services, works with the Pastoral Offices of the Archdiocese to implementits mission, vision, and priorities throughout all parishes andschools in the 23 counties of the diocese.

Fr. Lorig was ordained in 2004 and has served in several parishes before his duties at the chancery. Prior tohis current assignment, he was pastor of St. Ludger and St. Ignatius Church in rural Nebraska for five years.

Fr. Lorig received his bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN,a bachelor’s degree of Sacred Theology from the Gregorian University, and master’s degree in Spiritualityat the Angelicum, both in Rome, Italy.
