Update on the Thanksgiving Committee’s purpose and pro-gress. We are unable to provide the 500-person dinner to the parish and community which we had planned due to the COVID-19 virus. We are planning to provide 100 families with full tur-key dinners that feed up to 10 people. The $49.99 dinner includes a 10-12 lbs. pre-cooked turkey, with 2.5 lbs. mashed potatoes, 2.5 lbs. dressing, cranberry relish, gravy and marshmallow delight which feeds 7-10 peo-ple. The dinners come from Publix and these are at last year’s prices. As of August 12, 2020, we have collected $3,319.94 of our $5,000 goal. We are short $1,680 of our goal. We are asking that monetary donations in any amount be giv-en to complete this goal as soon as possible so that we may alert Publix to our needs. We want to bring as many of these families in our parish as well as the parish neighbors whom need this special gift. Please mark on your envelope to the Thanksgiving Commit-tee for Turkey Dinners. All donations can be dropped in the basket at Mass, in the mail slot at the church office 24/7, or dropped in the mailbox to the church office.
