Dr. Des Fernandes: doctor, surgeon, scientist, pioneer. The Environ story began with Dr. Des, one of the top plastic surgeons in the world, and the research he conducted after losing two patients to melanoma. It was through this research that Dr. Des discovered what we now know as the cornerstone ingredient of Environ: vitamin A. We lose skin nutrients like vitamin A and antioxidants daily with exposure to the sun and the harmful effects of the environment. With great passion and commitment, Dr. Des created a product that would help maintain the appearance of health and radiance of the skin.

The first woman to believe in Dr. Des’ beautiful science formulation was Valerie Carstens. Valerie saw the value of Dr. Des’ formulation and shared his vision of beautiful skin for life. Valerie is currently the CEO and Executive Chairperson of Environ and continues her journey with Dr. Des as they lead a globally recognized and loved skin care brand.
