NR 702.3 Huanu says: I tell of the claimed lands cultivated in thevineyard, a place made by my grandfather [Paulo Marin], and the enclosurealso, and the planted things. When he died they came to my mother[Lahilahi] and I have inherited the occupancy of this claim.

Also claims 'ili of KaIawawahine "farm land in the vineyard, a placemade by my grandfather"; also, "a bequeathed mo'o in the 'ili in Kewalo;the trees which were planted, coconut, wi, and some other plants which areat Kaakaukukui uka. All these things planted by my kupunakane are claimedat this time. " HUANU.

Meek Jr. 's land; Ewa by heirs of Marin's land sold to Dr. Judd; makai bysome grass houses of John Manini which I believe is claimed as far asDrew's shop; Waikiki by Kalama's land. These clts. are all children ofLahilahi who was Marin's daughter, and obtained their right from her. Themother died in about 1844. The house which is stone was built by theFather [of Huanu, that is, John Coffin Jones] about 1832. The Father isstill living in Boston."

"I have seen this place in Honolulu here. Some parts of this property have not beenenclosed, and there are houses on some parts and none on other parts. Atthe time Manini' s property had a general survey, I think it was correctthat this place was included in Manini' s place. "
