TICKET MINIMUM/MAXIMUMS & COSTS: The recital brings many expenses (lighting, auditorium rental, scenery, sound, security, janitors, props, etc.). Under the topic of Rules & Procedures on our website, it states that you are required to purchase recital tickets. • You must purchase a minimum of 5 tickets and up to a maximum of 15 tickets, per account/family, not per

student. For example, if you have two children performing, the minimum and maximum is still 5 and 15, not 10 and 30 tickets. o Each performer will receive one complimentary ticket to one show of their choice. This ticket will be

marked "student" and can only be used by the student. This means "one" ticket for the recital weekend, per student. § Please indicate which show your child would like her/his ticket for, in the space provided on the recital

ticket order form. § This ticket is included in the maximum amount of tickets you are allotted (15). Your total ticket order

may not exceed 15 tickets. However, this ticket is not included in the minimum amount of tickets you are required to purchase (You will need to purchase at least 5 tickets, plus the student ticket).

§ If your daughter/son would like to see more than one show, you will need to purchase additional tickets for them.

• The cost of each ticket is $15.00. *If your child would like to see the show before or after their performance, they will need a ticket. There is no parent supervision in the dressing rooms when they are done performing. Someone will need to pick up your daughter/son when they are done on stage.

• If you are only staying to see one number, you will need a ticket. • No one will be permitted in the auditorium without a ticket and there is NO STANDING due to the School

District’s fire code. • Children age 2 and under do not need a ticket, however they are not permitted to occupy a seat.

*Since your child will be performing in 3 shows, if you see your child perform in the first show and you do not want to watch the other shows, you may wait in the lobby while your child is performing, or you can sign up to be a backstage mom and you will be able to see her/him perform from the side of the stage. Remember, even if you want to watch only one number, you will need to purchase a ticket to enter the auditorium. VERY IMPORTANT: • Each show will have a different color ticket. You may use your ticket only for the date/show printed on that

ticket. For example: If you purchase a ticket for the Friday show, you cannot use it to see the Saturday shows. Please note, tickets are numbered, but they do not correspond to a seat in the auditorium.

• Seating is first come, first serve. There is NO SAVING SEATS. You may save a seat for your child and a mom who is volunteering backstage, but please do not save half a row of seats for family that has not arrived yet. Please advise family/friends to arrive early so you can all enter and sit together at the same time. If we see seats being saved, the EOD ushers will address this and those seats will be made available for the people who are present.

RECITAL TICKET INFORMATION DUE BETWEEN: Monday, April 13th - Thursday, April 16th, 2020

***ONLY ONE WEEK TO TURN IN YOUR TICKET ORDER FORM*** We WILL NOT accept any ticket orders before Monday, April 13th.

Page 11: RECITAL PARENT PACKET · recital can be a lot to take in, but having these guidelines and rules will help make things run smoothly for you and for us. Please share these guidelines

AUDITORIUM DOORS - The auditorium doors will only open approximately every 8 numbers (the door openings will be noted in your recital program). This is to alleviate distraction during numbers for many who are here to see the entire show and to keep the show running. For example, you will remain seated during performances 1-8. Then, the doors will open for approximately 2 minutes for guests to leave and come in after number 8, but will close before number 9, and so on. The show is approximately 3 hours long including a 15-minute intermission between Part I & Part II. USHERS/SEATING - Ushers will be in the front and back sections of the auditorium to help accommodate everyone with seating. The seats in the front sections are recommended for people who are watching the entire show. Parents that plan on helping their daughter/son change costumes or students who are in multiple numbers are encouraged to find seating towards the back of the auditorium or by an aisle. We will also have ushers at ALL doors, including the handicap accessible entrance into the upper section of the auditorium. Those of you using those doors to get to the uppermost seats will need to show your ticket every time you enter. This will be strictly enforced.

MONDAY CLASSES - MAY 11TH, 2020 TUESDAY CLASSES - MAY 12TH, 2020

Most picture times will slightly differ from the regular class time. Please note, students will not have their regular class on this day, but will run through their routine a few times after their pictures. Parents from each class will be invited in to the room before they run through their routine. During that time, the teachers will review

additional costume, hair and makeup notes along with reviewing recital news and answering any questions you may have.

Picture order forms will be distributed the last week of April. Please make all checks payable to Christmas City Studio or Pay online ahead of time.

HOW PICTURE DAY WILL RUN:★ Students are to arrive 10 minutes prior to their scheduled picture time; dressed in full costume, recital tights, exact hair, makeup & proper shoes (put shoes on inside studio).★ Please come with your picture order form completely filled out and ready to go with payment. ★ Please be prompt! We must stay on schedule and we do not want your daughter/son to miss out on their pictures.★ Teachers will call their class to form a line outside Studio 3, where we will start individual pictures. Parents will not come in for the photos. ★ All parents are to find a seat in the waiting area. Please do not stand by the Studio 3 door, as we need each child's attention for pictures.★ Once the group photo is taken, the class will run their routine a few times in Studio I and all parents will be invited in to watch, go over costumes and recital notes.★ Please note ~ you will pick up your picture order at Dress Rehearsal in the high school lobby. Look for a CCS representitive in the lobby.

recital etiquette

As an audience, your performance is almost as important as the students! Here are some very important theater rules we ask everyone to please follow to ensure the

BEST possible experience for ALL!

1. The auditorium doors will open 45 minutes prior to showtime. 2. Seating is first come, first serve. There is no saving seats. 3. Please remain seated while performers are on stage. 4. The auditorium doors will open approx. every 8-10 numbers. Please follow along in your recital program

as to when you may leave/come back in. 5. Silence your cell phones & turn off any hand-held games/devices. 6. Refrain from conversations throughout the show. 7. Absolutely NO flash photography. It is very distracting to the students performing on stage. 8. Absolutely NO video recording of any kind! The show will be professionally recorded and we do not

want images of cellphones and its glare on the video. THE ONLY TIME YOU ARE PERMITTED TO TAKE VIDEO IS AT DRESS REHEARSAL!

9. No costumes in the audience, unless they are completely covered – this includes headpieces. 10. Children will need their own seat rather than sitting on a lap so they do not block the view of those

behind you. Any child 3 & up is required to purchase a ticket. 11. All student performers will need a ticket to watch the show. We recommend students to watch the show

once they are done performing. In the past, students have been in the auditorium to watch and have missed their own performance.😱

12. The show runs approximately 3 hours with a 15 minute intermission. We encourage everyone to stay so the last performers get the same applause as the first.

Thank you so much for reading through this very important packet! If you have any questions leading up to the show, we are here for you! Please see Nicole, myself or your child’s teacher. Miss Tanya
