April 24, 2016 To Whom It May Concern: It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Ms. Diane Hunt. I have known Diane for close to 6 months as her clinical practice supervisor. Diane is an excellent teacher candidate whom I am supervising at Del Sur Elementary School in the Poway Unified School District. During the 6 months we’ve worked together Diane has demonstrated a strong work ethic and desire to strive for perfection in her own learning and the results it can produce. She is extremely successful in working alongside her university colleagues, cooperating teacher, site staff, students and parents in a variety of capacities. Diane is a natural and gifted teacher. She is soft spoken and draws the children in while focusing on their individual needs and designing her instruction to reflect those needs. Her lessons focus on Common Core Standards and reflect effective classroom management and teaching strategies. Diane is refining her skills in working with diverse student and family populations. She extends herself to effectively communicate and develop relationships of trust and safety. She is able to see the big picture, as well as, diagnose areas of need and provide effective solutions. She has demonstrated leadership within the school environment by taking the initiative to become knowledgeable about site procedures and protocols and looking for ways to understand her students’ needs more effectively. Diane reflects the most positive product of our teacher credential program. Diane’s enthusiasm and self-confidence in working with adults and children alike, coupled with her natural leadership abilities, make her an asset to any organization. With her dedication, humor, and intelligence, she brings, to any situation, the passion necessary for long-term success. I extend Diane Hunt my highest recommendation, secure in the confirmed knowledge that she will perform in a superior manner and reflect positively on any organization. You have the opportunity to employ an exceptional person and I urge you to give her your highest consideration. As a retired elementary school principal, I would not have hesitated to add a teacher like Diane to my staff. She is a star! Sincerely,
