Hello  3rd  Grade  Parents,    

We  want  to  remind  you  that  all  of  Discovery  is  taking  part  in  the  BYOT  (Bring  Your  Own  Technology)  initiative  this  year!  This  means,  students  can  start  bringing  in  any  of  their  own  devices  (laptops,  iPads,  smartphones,  kindles,  etc.)  and  headphones  (if  possible)  to  use  for  educational  purposes  in  the  classroom.  In  order  to  be  prepared  to  use  their  devices  in  class,  your  child  will  need  to  have  downloaded  all  of  the  recommended  applications  BEFORE  class.  If  your  child  has  a  laptop/Chromebook,  they  will  not  need  to  download  any  applications,  because  all  of  these  applications  are  web  based  as  well.  Here  is  a  list  of  recommended  applications  for  third  graders  this  year:
