Recorded in the early 1980s, these two tracks are just a small example of the genius of Colombia's Abelardo Carbonó, one of the most original and unique musicians in La n America. His music, which could be described as "proto champeta", is the result of many influences: Congolese music, cumbia, disco, Afrobeat, pop, Hai an compas, psychedelic guitar… Abelardo's trademark is the ability to recycle bits of just about anything into a cap va ng rhythmic groove which has no equal.
