Only circulated within the business to give existing staff the chance to apply

INTERNAL Advantages Disadvantages

Cheaper – no expensive adverts

More restricted field of candidates

Know the organisation Lack of fresh new ideas

Quicker – no need to sort through unsuitable

May cause disruption / jealousy amongst other

Easier to judge candidates – internal appraisals
