• The government approved a capital infusion of Rs 6,000 crore in state-owned Exim Bank to expand its business.

• The equity will be infused in two parts of Rs 4,500 crore in 2018-19 and Rs 1,500 crore in 2019-20.

• The Cabinet also approved an increase in the authorized capital of Exim Bank from Rs. 10,000 crore to Rs. 20,000 crore.

• Exim Bank was established in 1982 as the apex financial institution for financing, facilitating and promoting India's international trade.

• It is regulated by Reserve Bank of India.

• सरकार ने अपने कारोबार का तवस्तार करने के

expansion plan for Numaligarh Refinery

in Assam from the existing 3 million metric

tonne per annum (MMTPA) to 9 MMTPA.

• The expansion project has an estimated cost

of Rs 22,594 crore.

from Paradip to Numaligarh and product

pipeline from Numaligarh to Siliguri.

• Numaligarh Refinery Limited is a joint

Assam.

50,000-crore farm debt-waiver scheme.

• The scheme is named as ‘Jai Kisan Rin Mukti

Yojana’.

• It will benefit 55 lakh small and marginal

farmers and cost the state exchequer Rs

50,000 crore.

• The state cabinet gave its nod to waive crop

loans of 55 lakh farmers on January 5.

• Farmers who have registered themselves to

pay GST and are paying income tax, cannot

avail benefits under this scheme
