Programme overview
Recruitment, Selection and Resourcing Talent is a highly effective course providing an
overview of the whole process, including preparation for, and practical experience of,
conducting interviews. This purposeful course provides you with the essential tools for
different recruitment and selection methods, explains the legal context of recruitment
and selection, and how to select appropriate recruitment channels. The group
discussions and practical application of your skills developed over the three days will
enable you to understand how best to construct job descriptions and person
specifications and ascertain suitably effective induction processes.

• identify appropriate recruitment and selection methods

Wendy brings with her a wealth of experience in the Regional Human Resources
and the Recruitment arena. Her recent role, she was the Vice President,
Regional People Business Partner covering SEA with Lazada eLogistics,
managing the full spectrum of HR, including TA, Recruitment & Selection.
Before joining Lazada, Wendy was a freelance trainer, Auditor for Employment Standards and
volunteering for Junior Achievers. Wendy also teaches part-time with a commercial school on
Human Resource Administration, Business Communications, Customer Service and Business
Etiquette & Grooming.
She was a HR Lead for SEA & Pacific with Qualcomm for 6 years, responsibilities covering and not
limited to, proactively provide HR support to the management of Qualcomm offices in Singapore,
Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines, Australia & New Zealand, Hong Kong and
Macau. Advising leaders, employees and managers on HR policies, performance management, and
other related issues including activities such as community programs, Q-Life activities, etc.
Before Qualcomm, she was a HR Lead, SEA with a US MNC in IT Data Warehousing, Teradata (S)
Pte Ltd involved in the spinning off a division to a separate new entity.
She was a Recruitment Manager with a Global Banking Software Developer focusing on the
recruitment of IT professionals and thereafter took up the challenge to manage an Executive
Search Company in Hong Kong. Prior to that, she was a Regional Human Resource Manager for
the last 6 years in the Telecommunication Wireless Engineering Company handling Regional
Human Resource, Regional Operation set-up, Policies & Procedures, Systems & Processes,
Resource Planning (600+ headcount worldwide), Skills Competency Audit, Compensation &
Benefits, Company-wide Training Plan, Talent Management, etc.
