•Front cover: place patchwork sections 1 and 2, RS together, pinand sew 1.5cm seam.

•Repeat for sections 3, 4 and 5.

•Back cover: Remove 3cm of piping cord from the bias strip(Diagram.6) and starting at the lower edge near to a corner, pin thepiping clockwise to the RS of the back, matching the edge of thepiping to the edge of the fabric. Work your way around, clippinginto the seam allowance at the corners. When you get back to thebeginning cut the bias strip with 3cm overlap and remove enoughcord so that it will not be stitched in. As in dia.7.

•On the right hand edge of the 2 section side and the left hand edgeof the facing, sew tiny hems or neaten the raw edges by using a zigzag stitch.

•Place button loops as shown in diagram 8 on the left back section, spacing them equally.

•Sew them in place 1cm from the edge. Place the facing RS to RSof the larger front section and sew a 1.5cm seam. Press back so thatthe WS are together.

•Place the back piece down RS facing. Then place the three sectionpiece on top, so that the RS are together, matching the corners andthen place the two section piece RS down on top, pin the top twopieces where they overlap. Then pin all around the cover.

•Machine as close to the piping as you can go. Trim the corners offand neaten the raw edges. Turn your cover through paying attentionto the corners and carefully press.

•Cover your buttons (For instructions on how to cover your buttonslook at the manufacturers guide on the packaging) and sew in place.
