Abstract

This purpose of this research is to

develop a hIgh efficient temperature

estimation system for induction furnace in

the Somboon Malleable Iron Industrial Co,Ltd.

The mam obstruction of temperature

measurement is that the thermocouple

cannot be used to measure temperature

continuously because of the high temperature

of molten steel. Therefore, the comparly wants

to develop all efficient temperature estimation

system. The temperature is estimated

indirectly from the power input, the coolant

temperature, and the flow rate of the coolant

in order to find a mathematical model of the

induction furnace. In this research, the

recursive parameter estimation usmg Kalman

Filter is proposed for state estimation of the

linear dynamics in finding its parameters in

order to estlmate the molten steel m the

inductlOn furnace.
