Ridgecrest customers can recycle trees and wreaths during the first two service days in January at no additional cost! Just place them at the curb on your service day. Trees longer than six (6) feet must be cut in half. Please remove all decorations including tinsel, lights, ornaments and tree stands.

Holiday Tree Recycling

Free Bulky Item Pick-UpStart the New Year fresh by scheduling a free bulky item pick-up! Residents receive up to three (3) free pick-ups per year. Please contact Waste Management Customer Service at least 48 hours in advance of your regular service day to schedule a bulky item pick-up, or schedule one online at home.wm.com/ridgecrest. Acceptable items include: furniture, appliances, tires, mattresses and electronics.

Non-acceptable items include: hazardous waste; machinery and industrial discards; oil, grease and other liquids; construction and demolition debris or excessively large items. Please no cardboard boxes or bags of trash.

Waste Management observes the following holidays:

Residential collection service will be delayed one day following the above holidays. If a holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, there will be no delays.

Waste Management wishes you a happy and healthy New Year! The following waste reduction tips will help you ring in a greener 2020:

1. Always bring your reusable bags when shopping for party decorations and food- make it easy to remember by keeping some in your car at all times!

2. Plan before you shop. Make a list and try not to buy more than you need.

3. Celebrating at home with a party? Make recycling easy for guests by having clearly labeled containers throughout your home.

4. Got leftovers? Store them in reusable containers and keep a compost bin for food scraps.

Tips for a Greener 2020!

Sharps Home DeliveryResidents can safely dispose of needles, lancets and other sharps from home using Waste Management’s Sharps Mail Back Program. Contact Waste Management Customer Service at (760) 463-6024 for your FREE container and it will be delivered right to your door. Once the Sharps kit is full, mail it back using the pre-paid postage label. A second kit is available, upon request, for a $5 co-pay.

Avid Recyclers Can Save With“Pay as You Throw” Standard Service includes one 95-gallon cart for Trash and one 95-gallon cart for Recycling.
