Red Lion Christian Academy: Red Lion Christian Academy (RLCA) was established in

1980. In 1997, RLCA began a high school expansion and

now offers Pre-K through 12th grade. RLCA became a

ministry of Reach Church (formerly Glasgow) in

December 2011. RLCA is a college preparatory school

that serves students with a range of academic abilities.

Demographics: RLCA’s student body is highly diverse, drawing from the

tri-state area of DE, MD, and NJ. RLCA also accepts F-1

visa international students. The students represent a

variety of racial, ethnic, and socio-economic backgrounds

as well as over 100 churches from various denominations.

Mission: The mission of RLCA is to glorify God by supporting

Christian families in training and educating students so

that Christ may reign supreme in every aspect of their

lives. (Colossians 1:18)

Curriculum: Honors level courses are available in most core subjects,

except for Spanish 1 and 2. Placement in honors classes is

based on teacher recommendations, a student’s grades in

that subject, and standardized test scores. The following

24 credits are required for graduation:

**40 hours of community service are also required for graduation.

Advanced Placement Courses: Calculus AB, Calculus BC, Biology, English Literature and Composition, English Language and Composition, and U.S. History

Dual Enrollment Courses: MAT 308 Inferential Statistics through Wilmington University.

Calculus 1 and 2, and Physics 1 are approved through Cairn University.
