University of San CarlosSir/Madam:

Greetings!

Red Bull Supreme Energy Drink in partnership with World Wildlife Fund (WWF) is working to actively build awareness among our youth on the importance of environment protection and preservation. In line with this objective that we are launching an Eco Challenge Program aptly titled REDBULLUTION ECO-CHALLENGE 2012. Red Bull Supreme Energy Drink is represented by its exclusive importer in the Philippines Maryland Distributors, Inc. The Brand has been present in the country for almost two decades and has already endeavoured in several social responsibility programs. While WWF, a globally respected organization is dedicated to the conservation and preservation of nature and the environment. Its initials and the Panda logo have become a powerful rallying point for everyone who cares about the future of the planet and wants to help shape it in a positive way. Thats why they supported REDBULLUTION 2012 since this is in line with their latest campaign, REVERSE THE BAD, an educational campaign targeted towards the youth and students advocating an active role in conservation and preservation.

REDBULLUTION is a contest open to all group of high school and college students in the Philippines which aims to find alternative, innovative, student-designed conservation solutions to address the problem of solid waste management. These groups may be formal organization in school or informal ones. Group of four (4) students must submit a photo of an environmental issue concerning solid waste management they want to address. Successful participants will be contacted and will be asked to submit a program proposal containing an outlined plan on how to address the problem. The proposals will be evaluated by a panel composed of Sen. Koko Pimentel, Youth Advocate Gaby dela Merced, Mountaineer Romy Garduce and representatives from Red Bull Supreme Philippines and WWF-Philippines. Five (5) groups will be shortlisted and will receive P5,000.00 as seed money to implement their project. The shortlisted groups will submit periodic progress reports to Red Bull Philippines and WWF for further evaluation and judging. The grand winner will receive P10,000.00 cash prize to continue their project and a 3-day, 2-night trip to WWF conservation site in the Philippines.

In this regard, we would like to seek your approval to conduct a 2-hour presentation of the REDBULLUTION Eco Challenge Program 2012 to your college. We are very optimistic that with the support of your school, this campaign will be a success in helping the students and most especially the environment.

Thank you very much!

Sincerely,

Vanessa Villariza
