You might know Brian Olivefrom his work in theGreenhornes or the SoledadBrothers. But now it’s timeto get to know Brian Olivethe solo artist. His self-titled debut came out lastyear on Alive, and he’s get-ting ready to tour Europe. Inthe meantime, check outhis new video of “JubileeLine,” which was shot onthe roof of Olive’sCincinnati recording studio, and is directed by Pete Ohs.“Olive drifts through anarray of styles and imaginative arrangements during the album’s 33minutes with “King of the Road” aplomb.” -- PopMatters“Unexpected is just how much musical ground is covered in thisgem of a record.” -- The Agit Reader“Reshaping the past, the album presents an alternate musical his-tory where linear evolution is replaced by spontaneous genesis, and what a wonderful creation it is.” –- Goldmine“The self-titled record is more gypsy pop than garage rock, moreof a 60’s love-in than a nod to Howlin’ Wolf.” –- The Waster“Olive clearly scores high on the eclecticism checklist, but he’salso a fine songwriter, generating memorable tunes regardlessof his stylistic bag.” –- All Music Guide

Storming out from Story City, Iowa, Radio Moscow have been makingan impressive name for themselves over the past few years withtheir raucous amalgamation of blues, garage, and stoner rock thatshines pure and uncompromising. While comparisons to a heavierversion of The Black Keys are inevitable, not too shockingly the bandwas first “discovered” by The Keys’ Dan Auerbach who produced theirdebut album. Radio Moscow has made an enormous leap since theirdebut, with their most recent offering Brain Cycles, a fuzzy, psyche-delic, time shifting, jam inducing, freak-out. -- Exploding In Sound
