Prepare for an Inadvertent Discovery During pre-construction meetings, provide invitation to the affected Indian tribes and discuss use of the IDP.

Provide informal notice to the affected Indian tribes a minimum of two weeks in advance of ground disturbing activities.

On day(s) of ground disturbing activities, provide tailgate training regarding use of the IDP and notify contractors of location of this IDP flyer and laminated photographic descriptions of typical cultural resource material.

Stop Work If any member of the construction team believes that they have uncovered a cultural resource at any point in the project.

Immediately inform the Project Manager and the Project Inspector

The Project Manager or Project Inspector shall immediately authorize a temporary stop work of all work in the immediate area of the discovery.
