the judges during the presentation of their Puffin aircraft and won First Position for the “Most

As we move towards developing self-directed reflective learners and effective communicators, we want our students to take responsibility for their own learning and talk about their progress in learning. The conferencing session will be led by your child/ward with the teacher as facilitator. During the PCTC, your child/ward will talk and show evidence about his/her learning to date. You will receive the report book from your child/ward’s Form Teachers. There will be no lessons on that day as we have dedicated this day for you to meet the teachers. 4. The Integrated Programme

The Integrated Programme (IP) is available for students who are academically strong. Instead of preparing for the O-levels, students can use that time to learn other interesting things in school. They will have the opportunity to go beyond the syllabus for the subjects that they are most excited about. They can also choose their areas of specialization and apply what they learn through doing projects, writing journals, taking pop quizzes, giving presentations and more – not just taking written tests. Some IP schools are Independent Schools which have higher fees compared to other secondary schools. However, there is no need to worry as financial support is available if needed, such as Independent School Bursary, Edusave Scholarship for Independent Schools, more pocket money (Uplift Scholarship of up to $800 per year for students in Independent Schools) and other additional support (school and miscellaneous fees subsidy, free textbooks and attire, transport allowance, school meals programme, school-based bursaries and scholarships). You can encourage your child/ward who do well academically, or have the talent and potential to apply to IP Schools through Direct School Admission for Secondary Schools. They also study and reflect on the contributions made by these immigrants who have shaped what Singapore is today. Students will visit one of the biggest religious buildings in Singapore, Masjid Sultan Mosque, and explore Arab Street, Bussorah Street and Baghdad Street, as part of the immersion in the Malay-Middle Eastern-Muslim culture.
