Reflection

Assalamualaikum and it is my pleasure to thank Mr Rajendran Rajamanikam, our PKB

lecturer at IPG KPM for her guidance. Finally, I have done my coursework for this

semester with full support from my lecture and my friends.

Firstly, when I get this assignment, I must understand the requirement of this

assignment. But, the main problem that I faced while doing this assignment is that I am

not good in writing and communicating in English. To solve the above problem, I have

done a series of group discussions with other team members. We have divided our

tasks to ensure that we will be able to come out with the best outcome for the given

task. At the same time, we have asked opinions and ideas from my lecture. I also have

referred to the websites to gather some relevant information and materials for this

assignment.

I am very please to receive this task as I love the topic given which is about

learning disabilities for Down Syndrome pupils. The task encourages us to find the

information from any resources like magazines, internet, books and newspaper. My

friend and I started our moves by searching some books, journal and encyclopedia at

the library. Yet, the books seem hard to be found because of some reasons like that

kind of books are unaffordable to be bought. Luckily, there is only a book which is

complete where it is all about Down Syndrome’s facts even though it mixes with other

types of disabilities among students with special needs. We have to focus on the

definition, symptoms of Down Syndrome students, problem faced by them and how to

overcome the obstacles. I also must do a lesson plan and present it to the class. This

section is divided into three parts of teaching skills which are about listening and

speaking, reading and writing. I chose to do listening and speaking part as I love to

speak and start a conversation. I am so happy when we are finished our assignment. I

want to say that discussing and make neat planning is really important to get the perfect

work in one’s life. So, I must keep asking and do more research to avoid from making

any mistake.

Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to my team

member for their commitment in the preparation and the accomplishment of this task. I

also would like to dedicate a special appreciation to Mr Rajendran for her patience in

guiding me and our team member.
