The Gamers’ Corner BY HARRY TURNER
Hello and welcome back to this month’s issue of Gamers’ Corner. In
this month’s issue, Guild Wars 2 expansion is released, Battlefield Hard-
line goes into Open Beta across all platforms, and Dying Light hits the
market with what could be the most terrifying game of 2015.
First up Guild Wars 2 gets a PAX South release with Guild Wars 2
Heart of Thrones. Players will dive deep into the heart of the Maguuma
jungle with an all new Revenant class, new zones, dungeons, group chal-
lenges, profession additions and overhaul on the class mechanics system.
Guild Wars 2 is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game devel-
oped by ArenaNet and published by NCsoft. Set in the fantasy world of
Tyria, the game follows the re-emergence of Destiny's Edge, a disbanded
guild dedicated to fighting the Elder Dragons, a Lovecraftian species
that has seized control of Tyria in the time since the original Guild
Wars. The game takes place in a persistent world with a story that pro-
gresses in instanced environments. Since the announcement, the current
release date is not yet set, but we may be looking at a fall or New
Year’s release time frame.
Next up, as of February 2 the Battlefield Hardline online multiplay-
er Beta has launched for all platforms. Battlefield Hardline is an upcom-
ing first-person shooter video game developed by Visceral Games in col-
laboration with EA Digital Illusions CE and published by Electronic Arts.
It is due for release on March 17, 2015. Hardline features new variety of
gameplay that breaks away from the traditional Battlefield game modes.
The focus of the game has been shifted to police and the "war on crime",
breaking away from the military setting that has hitherto characterized
the series. As such, the main factions in Hardline are the police Special
Response Units and criminals. Players will have access to various mili-
tary-grade weapons and vehicles, such as the UH-60 Black Hawk as well as
having police equipment such as a Taser and handcuffs. Be sure to get in
on the action with this open beta, for the time will not last forever.
Lastly we take a look at one of what is sure to be the scariest ti-
tle to launch this year, Dying Light. Dying Light is a zombie apocalypse-
themed game set in an open world. Players traverse an expansive urban en-
vironment overrun by a vicious epidemic, scavenging the world for sup-
plies and crafting weapons to defend against the growing infected popula-
tion with a heavy focus on free running mechanics.
That does it for this month’s issue, be sure to look back here next
month for more gaming related content and information.

Here are some safety tips that you could use to sur-vive over the Spring Break: 1) Don't drink and drive. 2) Practice safe drinking. 3) Be smart! Don't go out with strangers. 4) Keep a form of identification with you at all times, if you decide to go anywhere. 5) Protect your location from social media. I hope you take these tips into consideration! Thanks for reading (:

Hello Bulldogs! The term is almost over. I hope that so far your grades are up to par and you have
had a wonderful term. Finals are close and approaching. I have a few tips that can help you make
finals a little bit easier. Tip 1: Study. Do not wait until the last minute to study. Study little by little
each day. Tip 2: Make a study group. Get a few friends and study together to make it easier. Tip 3:
Make a study guide and quiz yourself. These tips should help you prepare for finals a little better.
