Position: Presenter Reporting Relationship: Reports to the Presenter Manager

JOB SUMMARYThe Presenter is responsible for producing and presenting both live and recorded programmes; ensuring the continuity of programmes; maintaining the music library; assisting in the studio; and interacting with the Presenter Manager.

SCOPE Serving in the capacity of Presenter at the TWR Africa Regional Office,

Kempton Park, South Africa. Reports to the Presenter Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREASGeneral Consistently upholds TWR and its global ministry in prayer individually and

corporately. Upholds TWR’s vision “to reach the world for Christ through mass media so

that lasting fruit is produced”

Continuity Announcer Generate broadcast & music logs as required. Record and insert voice track announcements and jingles, music, promos

etc. in-between programmes. Final Control of time blocks in accordance with accepted radio practice. On air promotion of various programmes and services of TWR.

Programme Presenter (Live & Recorded) Produce and present programmes in accordance with TWR's Content

Guidelines. Propose new ideas for programmes; and if need be, produce pilot

programmes for consideration. Stand in for presenters if and when the need arises.

Programme Production (including Post Production) Record programme presenters and/or studio guests and produce their

programmes to the quality required by TWR.

“Topping and Tailing” produced programmes in accordance with TWR Policy & Procedure.

May be required to carry out any other related work

Music Maintenance (Music Library) Manage & maintain the CD library – if so assigned. Copy to and create digital Music Library using existing software. Maintain records of staff usage of music for their personal use.

Studio Assistant Assist any on-air presenter(s) if and when the need arises.

ESSENTAL QUALIFICATIONS AND CORE JOB COMPETENCIES Christian commitment, professing personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as

Lord and Savior. Strong strategic orientation and thinking in the context of the Great

Commission (Matthew 28:19, 20). Commitment to TWR’s mission, vision, strategic direction, core values and

statement of doctrinal position. Grade 12 qualification or equivalent A minimum of two years working experience in a broadcasting environment Preferred age range 21+ Ability to participate and foster teamwork within a multi-cultural team Ability to foster two-way communication and adapt communication to others Friendly voice projection Computer literate (Microsoft Office & Internet Explorer) Good knowledge of English both spoken and written Ability to plan, organize and manage resources Good general / music knowledge and awareness of TWR activities /

broadcasts into Africa Working knowledge of automated playout software (SIMIAN) Working knowledge of manual playout software (WAVE CART) Working knowledge of audio recording software (COOL EDIT / ADOBE

AUDITION.) Working knowledge of the Control Desks in each of our studios Respectable and professional interaction with studio guests and programme

producers Working knowledge of basic studio set up for the purposes of recording and

producing programmes Working knowledge of music related software (SPEEDY / MUSIC 1 / db
