This is the launch day of the Research Project MAPS-LED - Multidisciplinary approach to Plan S3 for Local Economic Development - funded by European Union within the Horizon 2020 framework. Smart Specialisation Strategies (S3) is the pivotal policy concept designed by EU Commission to promote the efficient and effective use of public investment in research. Its goal is to boost regional innovation in order to to achieve smart, sustainable and inclusive growth by enabling regions to focus on their strengths. MAPS-LED intends to examine how S3 can be implemented by connecting to it three important key-factors: - Governance, in terms of cluster policy and based cluster analysis; - Place-based approach; - Territorial network, in terms of innovative milieu based on urban rural link; The aim of the event is to create a productive discussion about the main topic MAPS-LED, looking at it from different perspectives in different stages of the day. The discussion will occur among different panels, representing local, national and international Academia, Business Community and Policy Makers. Why attend?
