I do paid and unpaid private work outside of my tewv role and outside of work hours

that includes mainly supervision, clinical assessments, training, mentoring, and

organisational consultancy. TEWV does not pay me for any of this either directly or

indirectly.

At the moment I regularly supervise a number of staff from around the country and

abroad on their clinical work relating to trauma or compassion or EMDR. Some of this is

paid for by their employer (only one is NHS) and some by the individual.

I have an ongoing legal case that I provide reports for relating to abuse and psychosis.

The client is not in TEWV. I have agreed that I may provide more assessment reports

for other clients if they are not TEWV clients. These would be referred from the

Pottergate Centre in Norwich. I have occasional work relating to supervision/

coaching/consultancy for wider system change projects, leadership development or

trauma informed care. These are sometimes NHS Trusts. I have plans to run a private

compassionate mind training group for the public which will likely be held in Tyneside. I

have held positions or have links with the Uk trauma and abuse group; European

society for trauma and dissociation; Psychotherapy section of the BPS; international

society for the psychological and social treatment of schizophrenia; compassionate

mind foundation; compassionate wellbeing. These may ask me to run training or

workshops for them, sometimes these are paid. There are four paid trainings/ retreats

that are likely to happen this year. I am intending to start writing a book on compassion

this year and have another drafted on trauma (which if published is contracted to be

part of ISPS book series with a small royalty).

I am a trustee of One to One, a charity

based in Spennymoor that operates

across County Durham. During 2019 I

hold the position of treasurer and

secretary. One to One is a befriending

charity that mostly serves people with

learning disability, although we also

serve a small number of older people

experiencing social isolation. The

charity does not receive any funding

from the NHS. Service users either use

their own money to pay for the service,

or use personal social care budgets (i.e.

funding from Durham County Council).

There is also funding from the Big

Lottery Fund. If the charity is successful

then this could have a potential

positive effect on my professional

reputation and could feature in any job

application I might make a I develop

my career.

I work for TEWV 15 hours a week. Outside of this time, I deliver mindfulness

supervision for individuals and other organisations, I also teach mindfulness in

various academic settings, and may teach mindfulness or deliver mindfulness

teacher training for other organisations at times. Potentially, teaching I could

deliver in future (for example to Teesside Clinical Psychology Doctorate Course)

may occur outside of my working hours and thus result in financial benefit.

Currently teaching I do for them is seen as part of my role, however, if the

frequency of teaching increases this would likely need to be done outside of my

current role. This decision would be made in conjunction with my manager.

I work for the Trust as a mindfulness

teacher/part of the leadership team.

gain or training I attend will increase my

overall profile and professional status as

a mindfulness teacher/trainer, which

would also support other work that I do

outside of the Trust. I run a website 'The

Free Mindfulness Project' and an

associated poetry site, these are both not-

I have a small private practice in psychotherapy work in Harrogate. This is

Tavistock & Portman / University of Essex D58/D59 psychotherapy courses

based in Leeds for the past 4 years and on-going. This requires approximately 2

hours work per week during academic term time, and is in non-NHS time and I
