Target AudienceThis conference targets a wide spectrum of primary care practitioners including but not limited to family medicine practitioners, internal medicine practitioners, hospitalists, emergency medicine practitioners, obstetricians, gynecologists, physician assistants, nurse practitioners. Registered nurses and other interested allied health care providers are invited to attend.
Conference DescriptionPrimary care providers should be able to formulate a practical approach to common cardiopulmonary disorders, identify the appropriate diagnostic tests, make an accurate diagnosis, discuss the various treatment options, and recognize when to treat and when to refer cardiopulmonary patients. This activity is expected to result in increased confidence in making an appropriate diagnosis and treatment decision with the ultimate goal of improving patient outcomes.
AccreditationKalispell Regional Medical Center is affiliated with the University of Washington School of Medicine.
The University of Washington School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The University of Washington School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 7.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
The nursing preconference and conference program qualify for 8.75 contact hours of continuing nursing education (CNE) credit.
Kalispell Regional Medical Center is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Montana Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
Approved by the ASRT for Category A+ credit. September 26, 2014 is approved for 4.75 Category A+ credits. September 27, 2014 is approved for 4.0 Category A+ credits.
In order to obtain nursing contact hours, criterion for successful completion includes attending at least 80% of the conference and completing a course evaluation.
