The WorkshopThis is a two-day intensive course focusing on latest technology and development in hernia surgery. Advanced minimal invasive techniques including laparoscopic totally extraperitoneal hernioplasty (TEP), laparoscopic transabdominal preperitoneal hernioplasty (TAPP), laparoscopic repair of ventral hernias and controversies in hernia surgery will be demonstrated. The delegates will become familiar with various approaches to hernia surgery and the latest advances in its development after the workshop. There will be a simulated porcine hernia model for a limited number of delegates to attempt laparoscopic inguinal, ventral hernia repair and / or prophylactic mesh for parastomal hernia.
