Registration Guide for International Teams

I. Registration Platform

International participants should register at the official website (www.pilcchina.org) of Promotion Association for Global Youth Innovation Leaders Community (PILC) to submit their entries for the higher education track of the 7th China International College Students’ “Internet +” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, and the registration system will be open from 00:00, June 1, 2021, to 24:00, July 31, 2021 (Beijing time).

II. Registration Process

1. The team leader should be responsible for the registration of the international team and submit the international entry on behalf of the entire team. Please visit the official website of PILC to register for the competition and click on “Enter now” to enter the “Sign up” page.

2. On the “Sign up” page, the team leader should fill out his/her name and e-mail address, set an account password, and select to confirm the two statements at the bottom of the page.

3. After the account registration information is filled out, a confirmation email will be sent to the registered email box automatically by the system. Please click on the link of “Confirm my account” in the email to activate your account, otherwise, you’ll not be able to continue the application . If the confirmation email was not received, please check if the email has been moved to the spam folder.

4. After clicking on the account activation link in the email, you will directly enter the profile page. Please fill out the personal details and school details of the team leader on this page. According to the eligibility requirements, all participants, including the team leaders and team members, should be younger than 35 years old (born after March 1, 1986), and if any member’s date of birth does not meet the requirements, the application can not be submitted.

In addition to filling out the personal details, the team leader should also upload a profile photo of himself/herself and upload the documents proving his/her studying status/education level issued by his/her college/university (in PDF format). Documents proving studying status/education level issued by colleges/universities include but are not limited to schooling certificate, graduation certificate or degree certificate awarded, and the report of school record filed on the official college/university website. If the aforementioned documents are in a language other than English, the participant must attach the English version translated from the original documents in a PDF file, and the participants should sign to confirm that the contents of the translated version is in conformity with the contents of the original documents.

Students who are currently studying in a college/university please select “I’m still studying for my degree”.

After filling out the personal details and school details of the team leader, please click on “Save” to save the information filled out and click “Show Less” at the upper right to fold this section.

5. Please click on “Add Team Member” to fill out the details of team members in the “Team Members” section. According to the requirements of the competition, an international team should consist of 2-15 members. Therefore, in addition to the team leader, each team should add 1-14 eligible team members. Please fill out the personal details and school details of each team member faithfully and upload their documents proving studying status/education level.

After filling out the details of a team member, please click on “Save” to save the details and continue to add the next member, you may click on “Show Less” at the upper right to fold this section. If you need to completely delete the details of a team member, please click on “Remove” at the left bottom of this member’s profile page.

6. After filling out and saving the profiles of team members, please click on “Complete profile and move on to next step” at the bottom of the page to enter the page of entry details and materials submission. On this page, please choose the field for your project, fill out the details, and submit your business plan (in PDF) via the designated input box.

7. If the project is recommended by a Chinese college/university or international co-organizer of the competition, you can fill out the input box of “Which organization or Chinese university recommended you to this competition” with the exact full name of the Chinese college/university or the co-organizer. After the keyword of the college/university name is entered in this input box, the system will automatically match all the names of colleges/universities containing this keyword, and you can directly select the college/university recommended you in the list provided by the system. If you enter a nonstandard college/university name, it will possibly lead to unsuccessful submission.

8. If your team has a mentor, please fill out the details of the mentor according to the requirements.

9. If your project involves a registered company, you have to complete the section of “Legal entity information” and upload the certificate of shareholding ratio of team members. According to the requirements of the competition, the leader of the team with a project involving a registered company should be the company’s legal representative, and if the name of the company’s legal representative is not in conformity with the leader’s name, it will lead to an unsuccessful application. Meanwhile, the participating legal representative (team leader) should hold no less than 10% of shares, and the participating team members should hold shares no less than 1/3 of the total. Certificates of shareholding ratio for the team members include but are not limited to the register of shareholders of the company, the query results of the website recognized by relevant official departments of industry and commerce, and the statement of shareholding ratio with the seal of the company or the signature of the legal representative.

The teams have not registered a company do not have to fill out this section or submit the documents mentioned in this section.

10. After completing all the information, please select the statement of good faith at the bottom of the page and click on “Submit my entry” to complete the submission. You will enter the overview page of the registration information, and your registered e-mail box will receive a notice of successful registration that indicates that the application for the competition has been completed.

You can click on “Show More” in the relevant section to view all the information submitted about the team leader, team members and the project. At the same time, based on the information submitted about the team member’s education level, whether the project involves a registered company, how long the company has been established, the number of rounds of receiving investment, and other information, the system will automatically determine the category of your project (undergraduate creativity category, postgraduate creativity category, emerging project category or rising project category) and show your category in the registration information overview page.

III. Modification of Registration Information

You can log in to the registration backstage to modify the registration information submitted before 24:00 on July 31, 2021 (Beijing time), and the detailed modification guide is as follows:

1. Please visit the official website of PILC and click on “Enter now” to enter the “Login” page.

2. After using your e-mail address and account password to log in to your account, please click on “My profile” or “My entry” on the upper right of the page to enter the team profile page or the entry information page, and then you can modify the information you filled out before and resubmit it.

3. If you need to upload updated versions of various files, you can re-upload the files via the corresponding input box, and the files uploaded before will be replaced by the updated versions.

IV. Logging in as a Referrer

There will be referrer accounts (only be used in the registration period) in the registration system, which are allocated by the organizing committee to the domestic colleges/universities or international co-organizers that apply. After successfully logging in as a referrer, if the team leader filled out the exact full name of the college/university or international co-organizer that recommended his/her project, the referrers will be able to view the details of the international teams and projects recommended by themselves.

Each domestic college/university or international co-organizer is only allowed to apply for one referrer account, and must file the details of the account user with the organizing committee. In order to improve the regulation and supervision of the use of the referrer account and guarantee the information security of the entries, each domestic college/university should designate a person in charge to join the QQ Group (Group No. 735116750) for the recommending affairs of The 7th China International College Students’ “Internet +” Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. The application and allocation plan of referrer accounts will be released in the above-mentioned QQ Group later. The international co-organizer should contact PILC directly to apply for the referrer account.
