    Day II DevotionRejoice Always

    Philippians 4:6-7

Review Day 1 recite John 3:16

Do any of you ever have a bad day? What are some things that cause a bad day?

    - lose game, failed test, get in trouble, sick, classmates mean, parent problems, etc.

The Apostle Paul had some bad days (beaten, locked up, tortured, etc.) and yet with Gods

inspiration he gave us some advise on how to handle a bad day in Philippians 4:4-6 (page 226)

(Verse 4) Pauls life wasnt going great, so Why would he say rejoice? He knew that what really mattered in life Jesus had already taken care of (Victory over Death!).

(Verse 5) What doesgentleness mean? Why should we begentle to all?Being nice and kind. To show love just as God has shown to us.

(Verse 6) What is the final advice about what we should do if we are having a bad day? Go to God in prayer with all of our troubles.

What does anxious mean?Worry- and worry only cause more problems.

When should we go to God in prayer? All the time with everything and he will give us peace as it says in verse 7(read verse 7)

Finally St. Paul gives us some great advice about what to think about in verse 8.

    - Great advice for life and for basketball. Think positively and godly!
