THE CONCEPT OF MODULE

The panel, because of its reduced sizes, constitutes a big

innovation. It can be easily transported, it can be replaced

with extreme speed in case of breakup and it can give

produced in a large variety of shapes and sizes, answering to

the most varied customers’ demands. Tahnks to its different

shapes and dimension, extraordinary chemical stability of

the GRP, mechanical and non excessive weight, Induplast

modular tanks can be considered an important novelty.

The sizes, the form and the design of thepanel,have been

projected from the Technical Personnel of Induplast, after

a long and rigorous study of the chemical-mechanics

characteristics of the subject before, of the finished

product and of the tank in its entirety.

A sectional tank is a water storage tank, constituted of

standardized panel dimensions tocreate differen tshapes and

dimensions.

The concept of “Modularity” represents a novelty in the

construction of GRP Water Storage Tanks. This concept,

after many years of studies, scientific searches and

laboratory tests, permits Induplast to answer to the

different customer demands.

Different sectional water tanks can be realized. The

phase of designing of a modular reservoir also examines the

environmental characteristics of the ground on which it will

be installed.

When this phase of study and designing finishes, a long

series of practice tests and statics verification tests are

executed; So, a new, safe, comfortable and flexible product

is realized. The characteristics that will be examined

are:hydrostatic pressure , wind-force, the load due to snow,

the seismic problems,etc.

SafetyGRP sectional tank panels are realized by the resin

transfer moulding method (RTM), that uses GRP (Glass

ReinforcedPolymer).

GRP is a composite material essentially constituted by a

matrix of resin and reinforcement fibers, from the global

behavior of these elements dependthe GRP performances.

After the realization the finished product is submitted

to a visual test to verify that the surfaces, both internal

and external, do not have superficial damages , undulations

or anexcessive roughness.

All the points of access to the outside, (valves, vent,

liquid entry and exit, man's footsteps etc.), are perfectly

settled to avoid contacts among the inside and the outside

of the tanks and to avoid the access of insects..

plane base or on wallsofsupport.These tanks represent the

Other typical use of the modular tanks, is the

assemblage on raised structures. Considering, the low

weight of the panel, together with the easy assemblage, a

saving of the materials and of volume of the carrying

structure canberealized.

The extreme versatility provided by the modularity, is

underlined from the easycarriage. A tank with medium

dimensions, for instance of 36 m , when is unassembled

occupies a volume of 3,96 m , that is 1/9 of the volume of the

assembled tank and, it will have a weigh equal to 1056 kg

around; it can be carried with a small pickup truck, with a low

cost.

You can try to do the same thing with a container of the

same dimensions in reiforced concrete; it will occupy a

volume of over 40 m and it will weigh over 15.000 kg!

Induplast realizes tanks with a capacity up to 2000 m ; only

the modularity provided by the sectional panels make

possible to realize tanks of such dimensions.

For accidental breakup of the wall tank, intervention of

reparation will be simple and timely, because it will limited to

the substitution of one or more panels. Besides, during the

substitution of a panel, won't be necessary empty the fully

tank, but will be necessary to set the level of the water a bit

under of the damaged point; in fact the reparation not need

chemical or adhesive products that may pollute the water.

Induplast Modular Technology is the best economical and

technical choice to solve problems of drought, particularly in

the countries where traditional materials are too expensive to

use ( asreinforced concrete,etc.).

FLEXIBILITY

A further distinctive element of the modularity, is the

large variety of shapes and capacities that can be realized .

The Induplast modular tanks can be adapted to any space.
